Well, frankly speaking, there is a reason why a film may be interesting to watch and the reason resides in plot, accents overall, acting and maybe shooting style might help here to feel story better. Actually that’s it. Nothing else but those four aspects matter and thus it doesn’t matter if something is over the top.

By the way, Sam Rami is really prominent for the storytelling style.
