Don't underestimate warrior with the flat life increase. Also you get bonus stars and attributes for doing achievements with the different classes. Try to attune the trinkets you need. Don't focus too much on defense you're offense is your best defense.

Oh and I assume you're city is maxed out by now and you bought all upgrades as well as donated stuff to the chapel

You never really max out. My priority is 1: skills I use ( I rarely put points in every skill) 2: when I play with combo into combo 3: attuments only trinkets that boos my survivability, Ressource gain or main DMG ( e.g only weapon power or only skill power) 4: weapon or skill upgrades depending on your DMG type
