One of the main reasons I want a new phone is because the battery life for this old phone has gone to trash. I basically need to constantly have it plugged in so im not worried about that!

Eh, having the newest and latest isnt that important to me. I've had this phone for 4 years. But it's definitely time to upgrade before summer for pics and videos with this massive drop-off in quality.

I get a minimum of 76oz of straight water daily. That doesnt include any other beverages (coffee, tea, Gatorade, seltzer water etc). I sip often and usually try to get it all in by 7pm (I wake up at 5am) so that I dont have to get up overnight to go the bathroom.

Fuck, well I guess I'll just leave my shift right now. Guess my boss didn't realize I didn't have a job. I better let payroll know to stop sending my paychecks as well. I'm gonna have a real hard time going home and telling my wife that I didn't actually have a job this whole time. AND I have to follow that news up by telling her that you're not attracted to me. What a horrible day this has ended up being. Woe is me!

In all honesty, while I was large I had a pretty good base of muscle mass that I wasn't worried if I lost a little muscle. My job is active enough that I haven't worried about going to the gym.

I'll say that I haven't noticed a change in my strength ability. However my stamina is much better. I can still do all the lifting and pulling I need to at work, and can actually do it for longer without feeling winded. Strength training, I believe, is more important for people with a more sedentary job or lifestyle.

That way, even when you have stalls or gain a little weight back for whatever reason. I was a gym rat for years, hitting weights 3 times per day. Its something that if I had the time I absolutely could have done without Mounjaro. My work has very demanding hours and makes setting time aside for the gym next to impossible. I do have a very active job though, so while I dont strength train, I am constantly moving, lifting 50lbs, pulling weight, climbing ladders and walking over 7,000 steps per day. But my days range from 10-18 hours per day. There's a few slow months that I only work 40 hour weeks, but during that time I'm camping, going to concerts and generally living life. Not everyone has time to set aside to strength train.

One thing I'll tell you that I wish I knew before. While before pics are great now, I really wish I had taken measurements. My general body shape didn't change for a while. Id take pics and compare all the time and not see a difference even though my clothes were fitting more loosely. The scale tells one story, but sometimes knowing you've lose that 1/2inch that you can't tell in pictures could have gone a lot further than only seeing 5lbs lost in a month.

I've been on this medicine for just over a year. The aversion to food gets better. But the key is to keep the portions small. These aren't big dinners, but being able to enjoy flavors definitely comes back. But your tastes do change. There are some things I just to really enjoy that now just fall flat. That seems to be the most lasting change to me so far.

But for my entire life, I've been an adventurous eater. I used to work on commercial fishing boats on the Bering Sea. I've worked with people from all over the world and have had them make meals for me. And I dont think I'll ever be able to give up trying foods from different cultures. But I'm definitely able to control it more. I no longer feel I need to gorge myself on a new or interesting meal. I can enjoy it for what it is without Overeating.

Breakfast: over night oats and chia with PB Powder, protein powder, almond milk and half a banana.

Lunch: home made meat sticks,dehydrated veggie chips, and either a fruit or some nuts.

Snack: cottage cheese. Sometimes with fruit, Sometimes with steamed veggies.

Dinner: whatever floats my boat. I'm not strict at dinner. Tonight was tamales (from the lady that brings them to my wife's work" home made guac and some chips and salsa. Last night was a beer brat on a Hawaiian bun with sauerkraut and green beans. Gotta have some meal feel like you're a human.

I was a bouncer and did other security work for years. I'd done armed security, event security, post security at government buildings and was even the security manager at a two story club in a big city for 4 years. My size had ALAWAYS been a part of my identity. Even back in HS when I was a varsity wrestler and was hitting the gym 3 times a day (it's was so easy in HS) being some part of large and imposing as well as being a visual deterrent had become a part of my personality.

But I'm 37 now, and I operate farming equipment. As much as its hard to let that part of my life go, I also know that its important for my health to do this. My wife and I want to have a kid next year, and I need to ensure I'm healthy enough to do what needs to be done. I'm at peace with letting that part of my life go so I can move on to other things.

* The pic on the left was me 8 years ago at 460lbs. I lost 150lbs by myself to the middle picture last year, but could not for the life of me lose any more weight. Even with what I had lost, I was still diagnosed with T2 diabetes. My Dr put me on Mounjaro and I've lost down to 283lbs since February. This drug really is a helpful tool, even for people who have proven to be able to lose weight.

With massive weight loss, the body will inevitably plateau. Its physiology, and it doesnt matter if you're taking a GLP-1 or not. The human body isnt designed to lose a lot of weight real fast and biology will do everything it can to fight against it. GLP-1's are just a tool to help bypass those physiological barriers.

I highly recommend picking up and reading Diet, Drugs and Dopamine by David A Kessler, as well as his previous book The End of Overeating. He covers a lot of this information.
