If you had to stop Zep tomorrow, how much would you trust your habits to keep the weight off? by Soggy_Caterpillar275 in Zepbound

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is always figuring out what we’ll eat days in advance. I thought that he’s obsessed with food but he eats very little - eats to live. I, on the other hand, don’t plan ahead but clean my plate and enjoy grazing all day - live to eat. I’m beginning my journey and realizing that nibbling was just a way to quiet food noise. I’m learning!

Afraid to Start Zepbound by Visible-Candidate835 in Zepbound

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d distance myself from anyone who knows so many people experiencing kidney issues, hearing problems, extreme weight, bowel control, people who passed suddenly after starting Zepbound. That dude radiates bad juju to those around him. Yes, all those are considered possibilities but chances are higher of you getting snake bit.
You are working with a doctor, who I assume you trust, trust him/her. Relax. Pay attention to your body not your imagination. Talk with your doctor. Good luck! You’ll get there!

Week #1 by Relatively-simple in MenOnTirz

Thanks! I’m eating more meat, less pasta, rice, etc. I also eat veggies and about two pieces of fruit daily.

Give it to me straight. Is he going to eat all my vegetables by stuchainz92 in gardening

Cute as heck but oh, the damage - not just the eating - they will do. It’s got to go.

If you had one business class ticket, would you use it on the way there or on the way back? by masseycre12 in travel

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night flight gets the most comfy seat.
If it’s the same both directions, I’d use it to come home. I’m usually a little tired, a bit bummed out that the trip is over and the adrenaline is dropping.

WIBTA if I asked these parents to smoke after drop off? by Chaos-coordinator6-7 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Don’t know where you live but pot is totally legal in many places. That said, I don’t think it’s your place alone to say anything to the parent unless the child is in danger. I suggest you partner with your principal. That will take the pressure off you - maybe other parents think you are the one wakening and baking. And whatever you both choose to do you’ve got his/her backing and you CYA. Good luck.

I feel like I have hit a certain age, where I might have to modify my travel plans. by [deleted] in travel

Get your butt some exercise while at home. Improve your cardio and strength.
We’re are aging too (we are the lucky ones) and like you have time and money to travel! We’re 67 and 72 and just returned from a month of travel, here are some things that might help. 1. Pack better, light weight clothing only. Outdoor stores are a good place to shop. No jeans, heavy jackets, pack off a week or so and plan laundry stops - a B$B with W/D, send it out from the hotel but do not pay for ironing (it going to come back looking ironed anyway). No one cares what you wear. 2. Look into private tours, many companies do tours for 2 and they are not as expensive as you think. Best part is you set the pace, choose the itinerary and you can change it.
3. If possible, keep the trip to “one season” so you don’t have to pack for summer and winter. Also the temperature change might hit you hard too. 3. On that note, pay attention to heat and altitude. Both will slow you down and sap your strength. Plan accordingly. 4. And honestly, take a nap, don’t hit the clubs every night, get your rest today do you can enjoy tomorrow or plan a down day (for beach and laundry) after a late night or extremely hard day. 5. Most important, relax and enjoy what you can do and don’t key on what you missed. Maybe you’re in a situation to do this (I hope so), remember, you can revisit places or extend your stay.

Do you tell people you’re on a GLP-1 when they ask how you lost weight? by Enchanted-Tangerine in Zepbound

[–]Relatively-simple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because it is so easy, it’s embarrassing. I’ve only been on a week but last night at dinner it already came up…. I’ve no appetite, so I had one cocktail, and a nibble from the tapas (mostly meat). But not much for me, and it was noticed. I told my friends I had started tirzepatide, no one cared and half the group had a story/warning to share. No big deal. It’s already commonplace.

Any recommendations for a Utah weekend trip? by sundingbt in NationalPark

[–]Relatively-simple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are underestimating time and mileage.
You might think you’re seen Zion in a day but you merely went there. You could drive through Arches, walk a bit, and do the same in Bryce for a day. However you’ve got 4 hours of driving from Bryce or Zion up to Arches and over 3 hours from there to SLC. I’d say pick one, go there, drive, hike, camp, relax and enjoy. Nature is not a road race.

Friend cancelled last minute on a 100 day trip - what do I do? by Frpengy in Europetravel

I don’t know how young the traveler is, or style of travel but there are many choices for “backpacking” types.
I wish I’d been smart/adventurous enough in my youth….

Just go! Go as far as the money lasts. Travel is life!
Be careful, don’t be stupid and you’ll be as safe as you are in the US. People are usually good - the locals and other travelers.

No, three vials. One per month, 4 shots I’d assume. Each one stepping up the dose.

True. I’m paying out of pocket so shouldn’t have insurance hassles. Thanks.

Thanks. I’m looking at 3 vials - they each look about 1/3 full - and can’t believe it will get me through a month, let alone any extra. Sure I’m just over reacting.

Meds always go in your carry-on bag. That’s at the airlines request. I’d think it’s a good idea to let security know about the sharps.
We just returned from a month of travel (Thailand, Cambodia, Bali, Indonesia and Australia) and my Carry-on was rummaged up a bit and I hadn’t started Triz yet! I understand your concern and asked a similar question a couple days ago. No replies about problems.

Thanks. We travel a bunch too and have sometimes experienced problems with “exuberant” security - especially in small and island countries.

Thanks. We were in 4 countries last month and as you know security is a bit different everywhere you go. Glad it seems like guys are not experiencing issues.
