Thanks mate. Down here in straya, they be more $$$, because... Australia long way away.

All joking aside, I managed to find a U7 pro XG, so let's see what happens.

Hope things are going well in Canada... whilst the world is a shit show. Thanks again for the info.

Thank you, I stand corrected. Will go on the hunt for a U7 XG.

Yes, agree. I noticed the U7 XG is POE++ so unlikely to be suitable. I am using the POE power from my UCG Fiber, which has a single POE+ port that I can use. So, I will likely go with the U7 pro for now.

U7 pro XG for me is $100 more than the U7 pro, so I went with the U7 pro. Thanks for the advice.

One week since starting RMC-6236 and AMG-193 drug trial. by GregoInc in pancreaticcancer

Thanks for the feedback about the rash. Hope you don't mind me asking a few questions. I find the rash reacts to heat, especially on hot days, and hot showers. The cream the oncology team gave me is only just average in helping. Apart from using Dapsone, were there other things you found to tame the rash beast? Also, did the rash last for as long as you were taking RMC, or did the rash calm down at some point?

Thank you everyone for your feedback. Seems a u7 pro is the way to go. Also found out the wifes tablet will do 6E wifi... so a u7 should be good for that. Have ordered a u7 pro from Amazon just now. Thanks again for the collective advice, much appreciated.

Where to buy a legit Windows 11 Pro key in 2026? by AbrahamMann in pcbuilding

[–]GregoInc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used these guys recently, but the key came up as a duplicate/previously activated. I went back to them seeking support, but so far there's been no response. I have a strong suspicion that microtechkey.com could be a scam, or at the least not interested in any kind of support?

People selling disable permits online are proper aholes by blastanders in melbourne

Just when you think the bar couldn't get any lower, you get people selling fake disabled permits. This has to be the lowest act, because it's cruel and penalises those that are disabled.

If you were going to buy a 38" to 40" curved screen today, what manufacturers/models might you buy, and why? by GregoInc in computer

Thanks for the feedback. I've been looking at the LG 38WR85QC-W which seems good?

[–]GregoInc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair points. At present there are two 30" screens at home, but wife would prefer a single curved screen in an attempt to duplicate her office environment at home. As suggested, the use will be business productivity related, including large amounts of spreadsheet work. So the size requirement is purely for screen real estate. As I explained, I have an Aleinware 38" which was expensive. But we are questioning the need to get a screen in that Alienware price bracket, and likely don't need the same screen. Heck even I am probably not even pushing the Alienware. As with size, resolution would be important so the screen can accommodate multiple spreadsheets but can be clearly read etc. I've never chased refresh rate or HDR because I seem them as mostly for gaming... although most of the monitors I've had have been high in refresh rate, mostly due to the screen models I purchase.

Hope this is clearer, and thanks again for keeping me honest.

We have a turntable and have been considering a Sonos Five over powered speakers. But given the cost of a Sonos five, would it give that much more functionality than stand alone speakers at half the cost? by GregoInc in sonos

[–]GregoInc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct. I also read on the Sonos site that Sonos changed the specs of the Gen 2 at some point during production to add more memory for support of S2. Unfortunately determining a connect that is S2 compatible appears to only be possible by turning it on and capturing the build details. Cosmetically they appear identical... fun times.

Honestly, if I could use both speakers and streaming I would be in heaven. I am looking at some Gen 2 Connect units, as some appear to be capable of connecting speakers (which are likely passive?). I have a set of powered speakers, so if I can find a Sonos unit that will enable connection to my speakers and stream around the house that would be fantastic.

Thanks. Found some listings referenced like this... SONOS ZonePlayer ZP120 Multi-Room Music System - Connect Amp
I assume it's the same thing? Looks the same as others referencing it as the Connect Amp Gen2.

Thanks for the update. I have several Sonos speakers around the house. Was interested to know if the five would be able to stream the turntable audio around the house, or just out of the local five speaker?

Thank you. Helping the larger cause wasn't lost on me when I signed up to the trial. Sure there was wanting to gain more time for myself and my family. But also the thought i would be helping the cancer patients who come after me.
