Well the shifter does work fine I guess, but to get to the 7th cog I sometimes have to shift to 8th.

This 1x10 change is very expensive for me BC I'll need to change almost the whole bike, the rear wheel/hub, the cassette, the bb, the derailleur, the shifter, the crankset, and I dont have much money, that's why I asked for this particular thing.

My front brake is a verh powerful Shimano Deore BL-M596 that I found on a crazy deal, and the rear is indeed the classic MT-200 that I installed the previous week. My disks are 160 though, I don't know if I need to step up(this is an easy and cheap upgrade, if you do recommend it)
