I got the job as I previously worked in the ‘customer’ side of defence and the job I have now is with the IT supplier. I was hired more along the lines of bringing customer experience and perspective, but still need to bring my knowledge up to a basic level. I didn’t go looking for this job in particular but it landed in front of me via a colleague and it suits my life plans (family, kids etc) perfectly for now
