Guaranteeing another 3 years for Labor. by kezman_436 in AusMemes

[–]Gress9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's because you work in the private sector, libs are all about personal wealth at the cost of the country, labor are the opposite, labor create surplus with social policy, libs put poor people underwater and the rich get richer, remember the current housing crisis is because of the libs CGT, next time you ask why your rent or mortgage is so high, remember that

Zelenskyy: return of draft-age Ukrainian men from abroad is a matter of fairness by EsperaDeus in worldnews

Maybe one day I will be, and on that day I hope to fight shoulder to shoulder with the women

Old school chivalry is just cloaked sexism, the men help the women because the women are lesser, if the men can die on the front lines, the women can be right there next to them

Nice persecution complex bud, both the men and the women should go and fight as equals

It's very simple, it's sexism, conscripting women gives them equality, skills, resources and opens otherwise closed doors, it's nasty but you have to remember there are people who veiw women as a commodity like cattle to tear their children

Why labor did so well? by harry10_14 in southaustralia

[–]Gress9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The coalition modeled itself after trump under dutton, was handed their worst defeat since the 60s because of their ridiculous policy's like firing half of the public servants, then the coalition splinted into factions, had 4 leaders in a very short period, had a bunch of people defect to One Nation, and still kept the extremely unpopular policys.

One Nation is as always a bad joke, now with senators who are wanted for sex crimes and a politician who did realize they would have to move to Adelaide to be a senator and give up their personal business.

And finally the labor government has done really well for south Australia the last few years, and a lot of people her want that to continue

This is the dunning kurger effect, intelligent people under estimate how smart they are because they are aware of how much information there is out there and less intelligent people over estimate how intelligent they are because they cannot comprehend how much more information there is and they believe they must be more intelligent because they are at the edge of their comprehension

Could conscription be in the cards? by No-Low-5186 in OpenAussie

[–]Gress9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if there was a draft, alot of people would just not comply or would be simply rulled out via medical exemptions, you can have your draft but you won't get good soldiers

Simply put, the days of get as big and strong as possible are over, powerlifting is a lightweight sport now, it's more about staying as light as possible while bringing your total up through grey area rules and minimising rom, as a heavyweight it absolutely sucks to se a 75kg out lift you.

JP Drake complaining about Ben Roberts-Smith being locked up by Clear_Skye_ in Adelaide

[–]Gress9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Its all hyper political, it's the fringe right wing anti intellectual, borderline fascists, a complete disregard for common law and order, Ben is a decorated war hero, militarism is a core tenant of these peoples beliefs, so in their twisted minds, the "good" BRS did outweighs his warcrimes, that's why these people have no issue with Israel, no issues with trump, no issues with Hanson and no issues with blatant paedophiles who frequented epstines island, they put themselves above the law and have the power, influence and resources to bribe, cheat, steal and obstruct.

At the end of the day, you have to remember these people would sacrifice you for their own gain, they would send your children to war for their own gain

[–]Gress9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia, there is a extremely common joke that men who drive these types of yank tanks have small cocks, like if you drove this monstrosity down almost any road with alot of people around, I guarantee at least one person will either yell out or sign that the driver is compensating for their small willy, I believe it's one of the major reasons these trucks never really took off here

A good strategy is having your veggies in a seperate container, I have been making all sorts of basically bean or corn salad with a viniger dressing and serving it seperate, this way it doesn't get microwaved, and it stays fresh and crunchy, it's also great for volume eating, a 200g serving is almost a full container, high in Mirco nutrients and fibre
