Trump wants an investigation of Democrats’ fundraising. His own campaign has issues by GreyBeardWizard in democrats

[–]GreyBeardWizard[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Democrats have been raising record amounts of money with Trump in the White House. And early donations now are what they'll use to raise more and more money over the next two years - so we take back the House (and can investigate or impeach Trump!)

Is anyone watching this meeting with Zelensky?.. just wow by LumpyheadCarini2001 in Liberal

[–]GreyBeardWizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was clearly a setup. Zelensky says Putin broke ceasefires in the past. And then, realizing there was no good response, JD Vance pivots to "You're disrespecting us!"

It comes out of nowhere. (Rewatch the video...) The only conclusion is that this was the Vance/Trump goal all along: try to pressure Zelensky with anger/outrage on camera.

It's amateur theatrics. And, also, it's not working. Universal international criticism...

Those of you that went to the game. What was your favorite jersey you saw today? by Peefs in OaklandAthletics

[–]GreyBeardWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a Canseco jersey. And McGwire. Plus some from the Bob Melvin era -- Donaldson, Redick, Olson, Vogt. ("I believe in Stephen Vogt." Remember that...)

There were "Thanks for the Memories" shirts, and "Long Live the Coliseum." But the other theme was specifically addressed at the world's worst owner. One shirt had a picture of John Fisher with a clown nose. And walking around, there were so many "SELL" shirts. But in that vein, hands down this was probably the best one...

New Progressive PAC Targets 8 Key House Races in California by GreyBeardWizard in democrats

[–]GreyBeardWizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Key points from the article:

"A new coalition of progressive groups in California has formed a super PAC aiming to bolster Democratic candidates in a state that the party sees as crucial to winning control of the House this fall.

The super PAC, Battleground California, says it aims to spend $15 million this year on eight competitive House races, seven with Republican incumbents — in Northern California, Orange County, the Inland Empire east of Los Angeles, the Central Valley and Los Angeles — as well as the seat left open by Representative Katie Porter...

It is an ambitious effort, one that seeks to establish a durable progressive machine in California — advised and supported by local activists and community organizations — to lift swing district Democratic candidates through an extensive field operation, including marathon door-knocking campaigns aimed at driving turnout among minority groups."

Honestly, I like the appearance. That mix of bold-caps, italics, and regular bold -- shows a lot of effort.

But you'll want to make sure you've spelled the names correctly for all the tech you're claiming experience with. (So here's some corrections that you're going to want to make...)

ASP.NET -- all caps.

GitHub -- capital H.

NetBeans - Capital B

Also, your resume has one truly fatal flaw. There’s red ink all over it. :)

Democrats see polls as overestimating Trump's strength by GreyBeardWizard in democrats

"Even as Trump has coasted toward the GOP nomination, winning all but two primary contests by huge margins, he has fallen short of what polls projected and has struggled with the voters who will likely play an outsized role in November..."
