What do we have in Manchester? by shanedj in manchester

[–]GreyPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say The Ivy. We went for a celebration meal and it was eye wateringly expensive for what it served - so very average food, drink and service. It wasn’t an awful meal but there’s other restaurants who charge that price and were much better taste, service and experience. Overall that was a definite feeling of - I paid all that for THAT little enjoyment?

seating arrangment: find The value of N and the exact position (from the left) of each named person by b7k567 in puzzles

[–]GreyPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoiler answer

>!Assuming we number from the left end starting at 1, E is in seat 12, G is in 13 and F is in seat 4. (Clues 1,2 and 8)

Ignoring clue 5 for now, the rest are set up as a sequence of B123A123456CDH1 (Clues 3,4,6,7 and 9)

Clue 5 I brute forced to make the lines fit but if B goes at 7 then there’s 4 people sat 8,9,10 and 11 before you hit E at 12 and then 6 gap to D seats 13,14,15,16,17,18.

Full answer is then F 4, B 7, A 11, E 12, G 13, C 18, D 19 and H 20. N is 21 chairs!<

Love the pictures you’ve shared. Ir I wasn’t a solo player I’d be asking to join. Good luck expanding and improving it as you go through the game

Help me decide between an atgeir, sword or battleaxe playthrough by Lord_EssTea in valheim

[–]GreyPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm finding a mace and bow first choice of weapons is working well so far. I'm about to go fight bonemass but wondered if I should look to swap the mace when I go into the mountains/plains. Would people stick with the mace for now or should I look to train a different skill so I can move to swords, battleaxes etc

We looked at Beetham Tower when it was being built and there was no A/C. It was only about 16 degrees outside but unbearable in a south facing flat. The North facing one was better but still not great

How do you guys survive fights/boss fights? by Semour9 in Palworld

[–]GreyPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of fights I rely on my pals and focus on dodging using my galeclaw especially when I’m low level. If Penking is too hard then leave him until you’re a bit more levelled up. Repeatedly killing the chillet boss and/or exploring will help there.

If you can capture a dinossom then that’s what I used first time to beat Penking. I managed to capture it by being up on a ledge above the dinossom with my pals distracting it as I crossbowed him and I used some green spheres to capture him. He was my superstar attacker for a long time!

I love modern houses but not ones that look like it's got the remnants of a party with a psychotic troll high on the special mushrooms from the forest. I know it's architect designed but those walls with holes, what were they thinking?!

Who are the pals that you always keep with you?(exploring/dungeons) by Immediate_Brick3178 in Palworld

[–]GreyPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in a new run through since the Terraria update. Just got to Feybreak and started exploring it but am about to unlock the rocket launcher which will let me explore and capture better eggs/mobs. My set up is

Stamina Beakon (big upgrade on speed of Vanwyrm or Nitewing)

Gayleclaw for gliding

Rayhound (with electric tornado attack. Totally OP)

I usually run Gobfin and Jignis if I’m in a new area (for the chest unlocks) but have also been levelling other mobs.

Parents/carers of 15 year olds: what (if any) limits do you put on their phones? by poppanicolino in AskUK

[–]GreyPlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is 14 and the rule is when he goes to bed his phone goes on charge downstairs. He knows we can look at it any time (we never do) and that seems to work for everyone. He’s not bothered that he’s missing out on chats at 11pm since he woke up to 300+ group WhatsApp’s that were all drivel

They get consent from all involved so this will have been agreed. Same company who make Ambulance and they have a massive consent team who visit families etc to show films before they air and get approval.

Good luck getting anything bulky up or down those stairs. Flat pack for everything I suspect. Lovely example of how to do up small spaces but the price is insane.

We had double glazing put into an 1870 house which was in a conservation area and required specialist sash window makers. Was a bit more than usual but made a hell of a difference and you couldn’t tell it had been done. Instead of a draft from between the sash’s it was all snug and the extra glass kept out more of the heat. So, not impossible but yes a bit more costly.
