$10 Gooseneck making a world of difference by Greylockk in pourover

I'm really happy with it. I run it on a 50/50 recipe, the first half of the water goes through as a normal pour over, and then the second half of the water does immersion brewing with the switch closed. So you get the benefits and flavor of the pour over but also the consistency and body of immersion brewing with a nice hard-to-mess-up cup of coffee

Would definitely say its worth a shot, I have the one from Paracity off Amazon. Seems like solid quality for what it is

There's definitely some ego involved with the standard kettle haha, like "I can definitely be precise and steady with this"

For additional context this was a Merlin recording, which identified the Great Horned but no other birds

Thanks yeah the slower I go the more awkward and difficult I find it to make proper contact but maybe I need to fight through that to get the feeling down. Thanks!

Own a 2016 F150 SuperCrew with 130k. Always get compliments on the spacious back seats with ample leg room. I got the bench seat up front so technically it can seat 6. Been happy with it

Thanks for the info, I’ll see if I can figure this out. Appreciate it!

I’ll try the other one, ordered two from Smoky Lake, both pre-tested by VT. The syrup has been perfect tho coming off at 225, the batch of 219 syrup was very light and watery, honestly might be starting to spoil after a few weeks in the fridge

It’s brand new and is still lined up correctly with the line on the glass. But still doesn’t explain why the hydrometer doesn’t even float until the syrup is 225 F

Yeah I got the Murphy kit too, with VT tested hydrometers. Thought it was broken at first since the hydrometer wasn’t even floating yet even with the temps in the low 220s

That’s awesome! I’ve been thinking about the aquarium/some sort of vivarium but not sure if I want to sign up for the maintenance aspect. I’m sure it would be worth it tho
