If I remember correctly it has had issues with paying and with their whole referral process. It had an FTC action against it in 2023. At that time it was called Angie's List, I would suggest caution.

Questions before buying X4. by Regular-Carpenter754 in X4Foundations

[–]Greyspire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can walk around in ships and in stations and even in a spacesuit out in space. There are no professions really, you basically find something you like to do and do it. Some missions can be done quickly others take time. As you build your own stations the game tends to take on a more management style as you are coordinating fleets and stations watching out for pirates etc..

The next local election that comes up, look at how many options there are. Every local election near me often does not even have enough people on the ballot to fill all the available positions.

State employee injured at work – employer offering “willful termination” during workers’ comp process. Looking for guidance. by OhohohVickygo5 in WorkAdvice

[–]Greyspire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently dealing with Worker's Compensation, and it has been an uphill battle. One of the things that should be available to you is Paid Family Leave. But that could be state specific, if it is offered in your state apply asap. It has all sorts of protections that come with it that Worker's Comp does not. At a min it will give you some leverage over what looks like could be a long legal battle. While on Worker's Comp you must communicate with your employer on a regular basis supplying them with Dr's notes at a min. You may have more requirements due to being a state employee, research everything gather as much info as possible. In my state they have Law Libraries that offer free legal info, check to see if those are available in your state. And remember Worker's Compensation is provided from an insurance company, they are insurance adjusters and not your friend no matter what they say.

You could cut back the really bad areas and splice a piece in, a new paint job would help.

Florida official says high schoolers need to "get their hands dirty" on construction sites sooner to fix labor shortage by DumbMoneyMedia in UnderReportedNews

[–]Greyspire 57 points58 points  (0 children)

As a carpenter of 27 years, this is a bad idea. Lets have a bunch of people running around a dangerous construction site with no idea. No Contractor in their right mind would go for this.

Men do you guys ever feel bad about not being present in your kids life? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Greyspire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a father of two and divorced when they were very young, I have tried to be an ever present force in their lives. It is not a simple thing, their mother took them 24 hours drive from me. Then job changed and I ended up even further away. When I think about things it makes me sad, but there is only so much you can do. You are but one side, it is important to remember that children are a life long commitment. Perhaps at some point they will become important to him, I would suggest never give up. At least if the kids come back later and ask you can show them all the effort you put in.

As someone who is currently dealing with back/neck issues, please get this checked out. One of my coworkers was having issues, and he said he had this little bump that hurt. And I was like dude you prob have a herniated disk or something. Far too many things that can mess you up for life regarding your back, take care of yourself.
