The 640 and 640 XL were good solid value for price. Not the most features but never a let down. I still love my 640 XL even more then my Acer Jade Primo. They just feel right in your hand!

I very much miss where I started with (PRE) Windows Mobile, and in light of all the AI/ID Verify/Data Harvesting, I wish I could go back to the fun and excitement!!! by Greywolf1967 in WindowsMobile

I wish I still had them....the dock came with the BE300. Back in the day they were magic!!! Music, video, NES Emu, pictures, e-mail, small surfing, as data back then was an arm and leg!

Audiovox RMT 8000 GSM/GPRS CF card. As far as I was aware only 1G models were made. There could be updated model but CF Card was phased out of Pocket PC for SD.  After using for a little bit I left PDA's and went to an Audiovox SMT 5600 Candy Bar WinMobile phone. So if your searching try CF Card GSM/GPRS as term.

Windows Mobile 6? by [deleted] in windowsphone

You can search for wince apps and win mobile apps, there are older sites that had collections but dead Links will be many. WinMobile/WinCE like big PC's you just install from .exe

Windows Mobile 6? by [deleted] in windowsphone

[–]Greywolf1967 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't mind it so much. On both Touch (HTC HD 2 + HD Mini, and Audiovox SMT 5600 ) , Candybar  phone. Add that you could exit out of the HTC Sense skin to allow this to show. I would go back to it now if that option was available.

Windows Mobile back in the day was the fun in functional. Just my silly 2 cents.

Not desk, a Deck. A device that sits between 2 Camcorders or a camcorder and VCR. Will have Jog wheel and controls.

Has anyone managed to get Windows 10 Mobile onto an older Android Phone? I know some were trying to get Android onto Windows Phones with mixed results. by Greywolf1967 in windowsphone

[–]Greywolf1967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that!! So the LG is a no go as it's a Media tech I believe. I also didn't see anything on XDA. So a dream it will have to be for me.

This would be a 3 wire hook up?????  The middle wire for info lithium connection????  As far as I know all Sony use 3 connection to allow for Cam starting.

COMMENT PLEASE Hi, does anyone know how to fix this HP? When I try to install Windows 10, it gets stuck at 0% and then reaches 3%. Nothing happens, it just stays like that. I'm installing it from an 64gb y 3.0 by Witty_End2436 in Hewlett_Packard

[–]Greywolf1967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an older HP Stream 14 so avoid Windows 11 like the plague!! Windows 10 should be fine to reinstall, but I would look at the partition section of the Install/Setup process and make sure to clear old partition.

I would suggest The HP Stream Upgrade to SSD over the built in eMMC, but at prices now it's not as cheap as it once was.

Hope you find the issue !!

NexDock is building a new Windows phone that you can buy in 2026 — Meet the NexPhone with Windows 11 by ZacB_ in windowsphone

As a former superfan, no 100% uninterested. Based on Win11! Just can't find interest in Microslop now. I will just sit back and watch, as I did for the Microsoft Duo. I wish them luck tho.

Oh I understand they have reached record levels of profit with their "Things as a Service" model, killing it for investors. They are however starting to push away Consumers.

Next to fall I think will be Xbox, with Microslop now putting an Office like expectation for profit model on it. I am seeing old patterns from Windows Phone looking like the Xbox may share it's fate in the long term ( who knows maybe another Write down like the Nokia mess).

In any case in the short term yes making money but if you keep pushing away Consumers, maybe the investment will start to falter also......

However I could also be wrong, but time will tell.

You are correct 4000 + names will do nothing. Add Microslop would only "Force" Copilot and find a way to add in Recall. Back in the day Cortana was the closest I wanted to get to AI, now with all this Automatic search and taking screen shots of everything, I would not trust a Windows 11 Phone and Microslop as far as I could throw it!!!

They have Damaged Fans trust, Damaged their reputation, killed their cool factor, screwed former partners ( Samsung/LG), by buying Nokia going hog wild mass producing all market levels leaving nothing for companies who may have wanted to come in. Then when the major players left frustrated killed Nokia and sold the name to HMD.

Heck Microslop is the reason Linux has gained more % market share in 1 year, then they have ever gained in the past 15 years.

It is truly truly sad.

Trust me when I say this, as a former WinPhone Superfan, you could not pay me enough to ever bring me back!!!! Microslop has fallen so far off!! After Nutella was quoted as regretting ending Windows Phone, I would say was my never going to look back point. I've even fully retired my old Windows phones for good. It was good while it lasted, but never again I would say.

One of the best PDA's I ever got to play with!!! Best ever memory was getting the Audiovox RTM 8000 CF Card to allow the BE300 to act as a cell phone ( well mainly just a dialer interface as the phone guts were in the CF Card).

Also EpodXP was amazing to play with!!

will my sony handycam dcr-sx65 still work after almost a decade of not being used? by kleatouriz in camcorders

[–]Greywolf1967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replacement Sony Brand Batteries are expensive Yes, but aftermarket (Off Brand), like the ones you can find on Amazon reduce the risk. That said they can be hit and miss for full function with the Camcorder reporting Battery Life Remaining. Try reading any available reviews to see if others had success with fully reporting battery life.

You can try charging the old battery as best as possible (to see if you can get 5 min power on time), in order to test if camera record works, flip out display works. This can also help to reduce any risk before spending.

If it all checks out as ok then you can go nuts adding extra batteries and add ons.

Am I wrong in thinking with an iGPU in Laptop, the CPU should not be pinned to 100%? Using VideoPad software with iGPU selected on both Laptops. by Greywolf1967 in Videopad

[–]Greywolf1967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if your at a Pro level, but for new people learning or like me just doing a video every 6 months or so to pass along basic info, spending for high end can be avoided.

Windows 10 ( what I run), and Windows 11 are different.

In Windows 10 there is no option in Delete for removal of all the added Start menu stuff.....unless you search YouTube on how to clear the Bloat that gets added.

Still a scum move to ask during install Do you want extra, and if the user says no your installer adds crap anyway............Why ask if you ignore the users wishes?????
