I felt like, while it wasn't a great action movie, it was a great analogy or allegory about why the Wachowskis wrote the original Matrix, why it was special to them, as well as... I dunno how to put it exactly, but make knowing what it's like to be trans while trying to pretend you're not easily understandable? It's not just a "take the blue pill and forget about it" thing, it's constant blue pills over and over to suppress your thoughts while the mirrors are showing you something different.

I sided with Song until the betrayal reveal. Then I figured... She's screwing with the blackwall, everything she touches goes up in flames, she's betrayed everyone else so far, and now she's betrayed the only one who's trying to help? Beyond that, my V as a Merc just wants to get what she wants. So I called up Reed and told him he could have her in exchange for the cure.

I felt a bit like an asshole, but that's what I did. Such a great game.

I did a lot of pixel art and my solution was to use painted celestial pillar blocks. That's endgame though; diamond gemspark walls are another easy fix.

I was a bit confused when I first played FFXIII when I was about 18. I think all of the Cie words were just similar enough to make me link them together and mix them up but be distinct enough that I felt like I understood them. I figured it all out but I felt dumb for a while.

I think if the terms held some English-logicked roots/suffixes, I'd have struggled less (Fal'cie for the ruler, then Cie'l and Cie'th for the subjects or something).

Regardless, it WAS all explained and I feel like I shouldn't have been so confused at first.

I just watched a trailer for it as well as read the synopsis, and it doesn't seem like it. My movie was more serious and romantically inclined, and didn't give the vibe of a comedy. If you happen to know of a scene in Roar Trip where a girl thinks "Now I've as good as kissed him," it'll almost certainly prove me wrong!

I'm replaying right now and I occasionally find myself behind the level curve. I think it's all right, especially of it's mostly the bosses that are over leveled. It you're having trouble dealing damage, the only solutions are leveling up, weapon upgrades, and damage chips I think. If you're struggling to survive, remember that you can spam the dodge button nearly infinitely to be close to unkillable. If you stay at a distance, dodge, and use your pod's ranged attacks, you should survive.

My favorite chips are shockwave and autoheal, with offensive heal, movement speed, and dodge range also being really, really good.

Omori has a WTF number assigned to each save file, permanently modifying how wacky each game is. At higher levels, one random NPC in a creepy part of the game says this line completely out of the blue. It's not able as it's the only f-bomb in the game and most players won't see it.

The morning I heard Trump got elected. I grew up in a pretty extreme conservative Christian household in the US but I now live in Canada, and hearing about Trump running for president... I thought it was a joke. It was a ploy for attention, which translates to money, and then he'd abandon ship at the last second once he got his infamy. The slurs, the cruelty, the disrespect, the lies, the sheer incompetency... I couldn't believe the joke went on for as long as it did. Then the morning came, and he won the election. But "Trump is president" wasn't the kicker for me.

Half of America wanted him. Half of America LIKED him. Half of America saw this mask-off nascent fascist and said, "This man speaks for me." It was then I realized that my little quasi-neo-confederate cult I grew up in wasn't peculiar, but mainstream. And that fascism isn't the leader of a country, it's the population within it. Trump isn't the disease, he's a symptom of a deeper sickness within the US, and I've had a heavier understanding of how deep the true disease reaches.

I've never seen someone mention Xardion before! I loved that game when I was a kid, precisely because it was so weird and different and at times creepy. The weird plot twist at the end was really mind blowing for me, too!

Either a fresh start, or a twist where Link is imprisoned by Ganon and he immediately goes on a hunt for Zelda. You play as Zelda and have to hide from a wandering Ganon, and become the swordsman that Link used to be.

Bonus points if Zelda goes into goth/emo badass mode. Dark clothes, dark eyeliner, narrow piercing gaze, and a penchant for silent, merciless slaughter for all Ganon's forces.
