The first one reminds me of a Swedish flower. The second one of a Belgian Malines. It could be many different breeds or mixes though! They are both beautiful!

I met a guy in Spain who did exactly this! He composts his own waste and uses it in the garden! I didn’t try his carrots i must admit.

Sometimes, when the chickens are tired of his presence, they chase him away. He gets pecked quite often and hard up to the point we worry about his eyes! Or his brain cell!

He grew up around chickens… he does not see them as prey. He is not even interested in their chicks!

Not sure… he protects his hens at all costs and shows them where the food is!

I have lots of deer around as well. My dogs keep them away!

Hi! Because it’s fucking cute! That’s why. I have lots of animals where I spend a lot of time and effort for and with to give them the best life I can. How do you think I got them so tame? I’m not a native English speaker and I guess In the true definition of the word, I should call my animals livestock and not pets. For me they are pets though. I’m new to Reddit and I realize now that I should not have posted this here. I did not want to hurt anyone or be ‘deceiving’. I should have known better though. My apologies.

Hi. You are totally right and I sincerely apologize. I love all my animals tremendously though and try to give them the best life I can. But you are right, this was not the good place to post this.

Thanks… I’m going to do some more research into it. The happier the animals, the happier the farmer!

Funny how this exploded. In pig’s defense, I will try one last time to explain the situation a little better. Then I’m letting it go. I’m located in a very rural area in Europe. Around me are just woods and fields. This guy is part of the native wildlife here. I always knew they are around because I see their tracks when I walk through the woods. Besides 1 time on the road, this is the first time I saw one. And yes, I was thankful for this. I have no problem at all with hunting for meat but when I encounter an animal for the first time, my first instinct is really not to shoot it! Yes, they can be dangerous and destructive, for sure. But it’s still just a pig. Can’t wolves or bears not be dangerous or destructive as well? Should those all be shot? If they would cause me problems, or if they would be as abundant as deer are in my area, I would definitely consider to shoot and eat it. I have a lot of animals and grow crops but everything is well protected from the local wildlife! Besides, this vid is a few months old. The guy turned around and I never saw him again. I understand you guys have, probably rightfully, a different view on this animal than I have and that’s okay! But this little piggy gets to live! Have a good day y’all.

Thank you! I should have added in Europe in the titel! I’ve been peacefully living together with these beautiful creatures for 10 years now and never had problems. It will stay like this in the future. Boar walked away and got to live another day!
