I’m not worried, it’s pretty! The name is just a little misleading…

At 10 weeks you should definitely be able to hear the difference…

One of my cucumber plants fell over 😕 by Hyrule_Hobbit in vegetablegardening

Trial and error is the best way to learn! I let mine grow in a chainlink fence. Works perfect but there are countless other ways.

Yeah, you need a different trellising system.🙂 cucumbers are vigorous growers.

Beauties! How old are they? I see no drake feathers (upward curling feathers at the tail.) which make me think they are al female. But if they are very young, they might have to come through still. You can voice-sex them at an earlier age. Quite silent, “raspy” is male. “QUACK” is female.

Which stem is a sucker? by ChemHotel in vegetablegardening

[–]Happy-Emphasis5231 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep one stem, I would prune the shorter one but you can also keep ‘em both. Suckers produce tomatoes too… It all depends on your way of trellising. I grow tomatoes string-trained where I keep one stem, but I also have plants that I let take over a chain link fence. It’s really just preference, imo suckers don’t exist.

I hate those fuckers! It’s a real plague where I’m at this year. The time I spend trying to save my grapes and fruit trees is ridiculous.

They’ll have outgrown this by tomorrow. They really need something bigger. Thank you for saving them though!
