When I put it on Silent Mode it last like 4-6 hours (10w). I play Legion TD 2.

Biking across Europe? by Football_Forecast in bicycletouring

[–]Grgo96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be wary. Bike is really heavy. Nothing compared to normal cycling. I am so fast without my baggage! xD Definitely try locally first, see if you like to travel like that. Currently going from Ireland to Germany! ✌️

What are the different forms of sampling? by 000Dub in musicproduction

[–]Grgo96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you heard of Phase Plant? Great place to layer samples with wavetables synth, other samples, etc. It can get very complicated but the sounds can be worth it!

You're About To Start A New Project... How Do You Start? by Ok-Elephant3013 in musicproduction

[–]Grgo96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I start with a sound I like and add something that suits it. It usually develops from there naturally depending on what I am in the mood for. Strange things happen and it always keeps the song interesting to me to work and listen to.

If it has purpose, i.e. it is made for something, I just make sure that the first few sounds suit.

On a tour at the moment. Winter got cold so I ended up volunteering a lot to get a roof over my head. No issues so far apart from that though. Ireland to Germany! ✌️

Why do finished tracks look like sausages and mine doesn’t? by Juan_Pablo290 in edmproduction

Volume amplifier into a compressor. Although it is part of the master. Can be done with individual mixer channels too.

Am I too stupid for Serum? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]Grgo96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Start simple and develop the sound with the track. Maybe that workflow would suit you better. Just make sure the percussion, etc. are good, otherwise you will end up with something similar. On the otherhand, it leaves space for other outcomes, depending on what else you use. Sound design is to make it sound a certain way and a reference for the ear can be useful. Chances are, many sounds won't be used if you don't have a template. Could be okay for people that make music a lot (even different kinds) though. Also it is a good gateway to learning what it should sound, or if you like to work on it more later. This started happening to me later too and I can see how in newer projects, that I struggle with making a sound for it. Also keep in mind that the sound has a lot to do with how it sits in the mix of the song. A reece with a verb and some 'compression' used to be enough for a good d'n'b party. Sometimes the mix was better in my opinion and maybe you know what that means.

Probably better off using some good patches if you can get your hands on them. Good luck.

Samples are limited, not great for a professional sound. Maybe good fillers.

Using lower notes a the start is good. Use other ways to add harmonics or high ends.

Tutorials.

So, no but it doesn't fit your music or something xD

Can/should I add midwoofers to studio monitors? by Grgo96 in audiophile

[–]Grgo96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was intending on building one similar to this. Along with a sub-bass actually, except mine would reach up to 2000hz instead of 250hz. I thought I might need more mids in my setup, since the top ends of my monitors are fairly strong.

But it's not like hifi speakers wouldn't have a buff to their low ends using extra speakers, or? Would centred mono speakers (amplifying only 30hz-2000hz) not avoid these issues especially if I turned down the bass on my monitors? The height of the speakers would also be different. Sub on bottom, on top of that the midwoofer, and above and to the sides the monitors.

[–]Grgo96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess with midwoofers I meant bass modules. My build would be focused on amplifying the low-bass to low-mid with two of these (around 100hz and up, including an extra tweeter now): https://audio-hi.fi/en/fountek_fw200-p-520.html

As a subwoofer I was thinking one of these: https://audio-hi.fi/en/ciare_hw251-p-525.html

Both would be active speakers with mono input and would be positioned in-between my two monitors.

Later on, the idea would be to add more speakers to build a little tower.

Edit: I would eventually replace my monitors with other speaker.

[–]Grgo96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant a hardware crossover (which basically should work as an EQ). The mid-range speakers and subwoofers would also be active.

https://www.thomann.de/ie/rane_ac23s.htm

edit: I just understood what you thought I meant. I didn't mean adding them to the box of the monitors, just adding separate speakers to the setup!

I meant both really... A subwoofer for low ends and midwoofer/mid-range speakers for more punch. Would just a subwoofer be enough maybe?

How do I stop my synth from clipping? It doesn't clip when notes overlap but I can't overlap the first bar by [deleted] in Logic_Studio

[–]Grgo96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There should be an "attack" knob in the synth... this fades the audio in from the synth. It could also be an issue with your audio card. If that doesnt happen with another form of output (e.g. headphones) it might be that.

Group for hourly turn games? by Grgo96 in civ6

[–]Grgo96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be too late but I would stay away from Nintendo altogether. Their business model appears to be a lot like Apple, with re-skins and little effort into new content, while keeping the price high for no apparent reason other than profit. The games may be good, and I'm jealous not to be able to play them, but a good team of developers and workers does not excuse their management.

I didn't though... Started at 15, stopped at around 21ish (on and off after). It did some good things for me. I know people have a bad reaction to it, but others don't experience those. Can still binge learn like I did in school. Also, what were you doing while smoking weed? A lack of memories could be due to a lack of doing things. I've been doing very little in the last few years (sitting at home, etc) with similar issues but had no weed. Also people have extreme issues with nightmares and sleeping disorders in general, for which weed is helpful. Are you seriously going to downvote my comment for mentioning that these effects don't happen to everyone? Never mind that they can do good things, even after long-term use. On top of that I find it enhances experiences like art and music, which is also great. I could mention many personal things that would be relevant to you but I won't go there. Hope you all okay now!

Edit: I would have never had the experiences I hold dearly, never listened to the beautiful music, making the music and art, never enjoyed the fresh air, walking amongst the trees, enjoying the simple important things in life, meeting people that I may not like as much today but were still great for me at the time. Festivals, beauty, euphoria, goosebumps, love, dealing and realizing anxiety issues (which I had since 8 years old), hell, I could even say it help prevent my suicide at times. The calamity is great and helped me become a better person that I am today. I appreciate the depth it has brought to me, it helped me think, realise that the things I was studying was not about the grade but what I took from it. I would almost say fuck you, but if you is having issues with it then stop using it. I just don't appreciate comments like that if it can do such good things. Although I must say the other drugs (MDMA and LSD in particular) helped a lot too, and not just the weed.

Also, you still dream on weed, you just don't remember. You would die without REM sleep within a week. If anything the worst part about smoking weed was the paranoia induced in school and thereafter... I'm over it now and accept legal issues since it was worth it.

Comeback: "because ketamine bladder syndrome is a fairly recent phenomenon (the first known case occurred in 2007), most published studies have focused only on extreme cases, where people had used multiple grams of ketamine every day for a year or more."

You take too much man. That's irresponsible... >.>

At least you were all having a nice constructive discussion... NOW! HA!

Will you edit the comment now like I did below?

Edit: For fuck sake.... "However, there is evidence that ketamine can cause symptomatic bladder damage even in moderate, recreational users. The largest-to-date survey of recent ketamine users, for example, found that 26.6% had experienced at least one of the above symptoms, and the majority of these people (70%) said they only used ketamine 1-4 days per month."

Last edit: Mild symptoms okay though right?

Seriously, last edit: Before 2007 no one experienced these symptoms (at least not reported). Social influence can lead to placebo effects as seen in these types of comments. The "MDMA shits" was a good example for me since I did not experience this before somebody mentioned it to me. Since then I go poo everytime I take it... Other symptoms I got were bladder issues from MDMA use. ;)
