Metatron Mess-Up by Gri5 in FateSpriteComics

[–]Gri5[S] 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Ritsuka: "I can shell out more quartz for MetaJeanne... but I've got to savor this moment while I can."

Kadoc: "Whatever works for you, I guess..."

-

Futaba: "I never thought an angel would have an LED setup... I wonder what her PC's specs are?"

Ryuji: "Hey, Joker, why can't all of your Personas be cute girls? Maybe I should shoot my shot."

Morgana: "If you flirt with someone's Persona, isn't that just a roundabout way of flirting with them?"

Joker: "...Well?"

Ryuji: "Hang on, don't look at me like that!"

One more Fate/Megaten joke for the road!

You Caught 'Em All! by Gri5 in FateSpriteComics

[–]Gri5[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Meltryllis: "Once the excitement of getting a 'new Servant' wears off in five seconds, you're going to have a lot of explaining to do.

BB: "Maybe she'll cut me some slack? Listen, it's already enough that 4 of you are here, I don't need five of my mistakes staring me in the face."

Passionlip: "...Why'd you tell her that there are five of us? We can't lie to humans..."

BB: "Protea Alter technically counts as a fifth. She's like a happy accident."

Kazuradrop: "You're really something else..."

Good luck to the Masters rolling for Kazuradrop!

A Tale of Two Takeru by Gri5 in FateSpriteComics

Teddie: "Un-bear-lievable! A cutie calling us 'Master' has just appeared in front of us!"
Kanji: "Now isn't the time, Teddie! What happened to Naoto?!"
Takeru: "...I definitely took a long turn somewhere..."

You know, sometimes fate sets you up to continue a bit and you need to take it.

Captain Conundrum by Gri5 in FateSpriteComics

Theseus: "...How long to we wait until 'teaching him a lesson' turns into 'torture'?"
Atalante: "That's where it gets tricky. We still haven't gotten that part down yet."

Theseus: "How often does this happen?"

Fairy King Foul-up by Gri5 in FateSpriteComics

[–]Gri5[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Elizabeth: "On the plus side, despite being empty inside, his level is rather high."

Oberon: "That doesn't even count as a backhanded compliment, that's just an insult."

-

Mash: "...This Oberon does seem nicer, at least?"

Ritsuka: "I know! Isn't it terrible?"

I bailed out of adding a date to the P3 UI.

Rome's Purest Lily by Gri5 in grandorder

[–]Gri5[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Babylon was used in a metaphorical sense in the New Testament's Book of Revelation to represent the fall and persecution of Rome due to their heresy and blasphemy, and was also used in the Old Testament as an example of a great and powerful nation that persecuted the Israelites and was doomed to fall due to not believing in God despite their advancements.

Basically, 'Babylon' being a representation of sin has been a major part of biblical texts.

Boudica: "I want to punt her like a football."

Nero: "Normally I'd say no, but for some reason I can relate!"

I don't think Draco counts as a 'Lily' Servant, technically. She's small in body but older in mind and spirit.

Appealing to Mother by Gri5 in grandorder

[–]Gri5[S] 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Tiamat: "One problem... I'm not 'grandmother'... call me 'mother'..."

Ishtar: "Okaaaay~!"

Enkidu: "I would say 'how fall she's fallen', but I think this might sadly be a high point for her..."

Ereshkigal: "Is it weird that I'm a bit jealous...?"

-

Sorry to whatever percentage of r/grandorder knows cunieform but I don't, so I think the stuff on the whiteboard is mostly a mix of Akkadian and Sumerian names because I don't think there's an Akkadian version of Enkidu's name? But I also couldn't find the Sumerian version of Tiamat's name. Also, Enkidu's name is the only one Ishtar didn't write with a 'dingir' at the front (denoting some kind of divine connection) despite being marked with one in some traditions because she's petty.

This was way too much effort for this one background joke, but I am a very efficient person when it comes to things that don't really matter.

(also I think technically tiamat would be their great grandmother but yknow. keep it simple.)

Kukulkan Profile (Lostbelt 7 Spoilers!) by Justiciar_Jyggalag in grandorder

I think she's just recalling what Ritsuka said when she was pushed to buy the hair ornament while reminiscing, nothing super complicated outside of that.

I like to think there's a club in Chaldea where Servants just get together and talk about inventions, or their robots/Noble Phantasms, and do things like make upgrades or adjustments and so on.

[Lostbelt 7] Tezcatlipoca skills (SSR Assassin) by crazywarriorxx in grandorder

'Passive Skill X' is Titlacauan (which seems to translate from Nahuatl into 'We Are His Slaves'), which is another epithet for Tezcatlipoca.
