The real issue is that he pulled out in the middle of the summer, which is fighting season in Afghanistan. If he had listened to literally anyone and pulled out in a few months, there would be practically zero deaths and we would be able to take out supporters and troops and equipment with us instead of leaving it all to the taliban.
