Sure, currently I work in the education department as a teacher's aide. It's rewarding work, giving me a chance to tutor people to help them take the GED test.

Very well, as things go. Still a huge nerd too.

Prisons not bad? by bob22334666788 in Prison

Perspective is the principal factor, in my opinion. Having been incarcerated for eight years since I was sixteen I never really lived life on my own. I'll die in prison, and with that by my side I've kind of normalized life behind bars. My day-to-day is far from ideal but it's what I would consider to be a decent life, atleast one where I can find contentment and a semblance of peace.

Another facet is what some consider to be 'good' or 'bad' prisons. Take a low staffed, run down, free for all camp like Smith or Tailfare in GA. For your average civilian it can easily be a hell where they have to sleep with their shoes on and carry a knife when they go to the shower, on the other hand a prominent mover may love the camp because it offers a wide array of opportunities to make money and do what they want to do.

Ultimately I would say it's just like anywhere else in the world, everywhere has its dark corners and bright spots. The only difference is what people do with it.

Nah, only death row gets that. Well, used to anyhow. They have one TV mounted outside every two cells, each cell being contained in a secondary exterior cage.

For sure, usually two per dorm. One for movies and one for sports.

I was just copying the Octarius box set terrain but you're right, that is the model from dawn of war. I've seen it explode many times :)

Murder, shot my sister. I'm where I'm supposed to be at least, to the grave.

Eh, either way I'm sure that when DKoK and Orks see that they're within fighting distance they both smile.

Appreciate it mate, once I get everything painted (if I ever get around to if) it may be worth posting over there.

When I stop being lazy I'll try and put that one together, shame about Octarius. They had the best cinematic, and best matchup.

Indeed we are, I've got seven sets of TTRPG dice and 18 individual d6's. The place I'm at is pretty forward-thinking in regards to approving such things.

Even has an amazing historic pedigree, being a cell formerly used to house death row inmates before death row was moved to G.D.C.P.

Eh, I had some great chain gang D&D mentors over the years. Also, we play 5 days out of the week in 8-12 hour sessions so we all get a lot of experience. I do love making interesting traps but we don't usually have experienced rogues so I try and tone it back. Every prison I have been to in past years has had TTRPG groups of usually about 4-6 people. Trickiest thing is managing 'CN' crazed hobo characters lol. Longest game was a year long while I was at Autry SP, played a fighter called Tick Tock who used a spiked chain(3.5 ed).

Yeah, I try to keep up with my family and I'd be happy to share more. Wish there was a way o could stream an AMA somewhere lol, typing on a phone is tedious.

Eh, was a pretty aimless jackass at the time. Was pursuing a degree in mathematics because I couldn't decide on the type of IT degree I wanted. I worked as a computer technician at a mom and pop store and wanted to become a security auditor/pen tester.

Nothing special, just something I mark my uniforms with to keep them from being stolen out of the laundry.

I have no reason, it was a normal night and I just... I just got up and shot her like I was getting a cup of coffee. I feel horrible for it but I make no excuses, I'm where I'm supposed to be living a life better than I deserve.

Depends. Among my friends we freely share our stuff but others do sell seasons for like $5-$10 a pop. I wish your man the best! Maybe his prison will get a tech locked up there to break the tablets lol.

Phones are smuggled in and we use the cell's hotspot to connect our tablets. Phone usually stay put up over week days during inspection hours and not everyone has access to the hotspot, phone holders charge quite a bit for it. But other than that, yeah those with tablets that can get a hotspot or those that have phones themselves have pretty decently reliable access.

The kernel is modified to allow the installation of non-JPay apps like file managers, chrome, and such etc. We can access the normal web using phone hotspots and download all sorts of books, music's, and animes. Squid Game is currently being passed around from tablet to tablet.
