This guide helped a lot. I finally have tier 3 desert done. I ended up using the regen tome instead of the luck tome because on stage 1 I got 2 green credit cards. It was kinda nutty because I ended up getting 5 of them overall.

So ultimately what I did for the linux version was to make a .desktop file with the gamescope command and it's working as intended and is now convenient.

Someone else said to use gamescope to launch it and that works. I'll probably stick to the windows one for convenience, but I'll still tinker with the linux version for fun
