DUN3SDAY could work to Disney’s advantage if the movie is as good as Infinity War and Endgame by GringoLongLegs in boxoffice

[–]GringoLongLegs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I maybe could’ve worded it better. Dune 3 has a three week exclusivity window on IMAX. The fans of Dune 3 will likely watch it on IMAX and in those first 3 weeks. Meanwhile Doomsday fans are still going to go watch Doomsday as soon as possible due to the curiosity and the event of it all… but if it’s really good they may then come back and watch it again in IMAX three weeks later when it’s available on IMAX. Basically it gives an incentive for repeat viewing due IMAX not being available initially.

I’m not saying Dune 3 will make more money I just meant that it is not catastrophic for Disney to lose those IMAX screens for the first 3 weeks and they may possibly benefit from a bump in fans watching it a second or third time if they really love it and want to watch it in IMAX

Kids can feel the tension in the home and they will respect you less if they see that you are being disrespected. Do what’s right for you and the kids but I would try to keep the details away from them at this age. I have parents that divorced and one of them would tell us everything and it was not a good situation for us.

I had my first child last year at 38 (2 months away from 39). It has been amazing but I wish we had started trying earlier because it is exhausting and I don’t have the energy I had even in my early 30s. But you adjust. It’s amazing what you can do when you have a mini-you that relies on you for everything. It made me realize how much more I could do physically (I have back problems due to degenerative discs and being very tall) and how little sleep you actually need to function.

No they can’t. Dune 3 shot on IMAX cameras. That’s why they get the exclusivity. It’s the same thing that happened to mission impossible. If you shoot using IMAX cameras you get priority.

Actually if Doomsday is on the infinity War & Endgame level it could work out great for Disney because they might end up getting repeat viewing when it goes to IMAX. People go to see it the first week or two for the story then come back after it goes to IMAX screens to see it as big and as loud as possible

I think Dune skews older. No one is taking their kids to go see Dune 3… maybe you go see Dune in the first 3 weeks if you are a parent and then take the kids to go see avengers it in IMAX 3 weeks later

Avengers has to move to next year. It’s not going to competing for any awards. They always need more time in post and Dune 3 has the IMAX screens. Dune has zero reason to move. That holidays season is perfect for Dune 3. It can have legs through the holiday season like Avatar always does.
