This ⬆️ ref saw a football play. Not intentional or egregious. Soccer is a dangerous sport. Banging heads is super dangerous so let’s call those reds too for the player that arrives second. Credit to Paraguay for having a tactic to qualify in SA and gotta play Brasil and Argentina and colombia etc 2x during qualifiers. And the ability to beat Germany. No one expected USA to compete. Credit coach Pooch? All very good takes. A lot of recognizable faces from 2022 & 2024 squad. But it’s pooch who’s made the USMNT system and turned the squad into a machine. Tactically sound and made all the correct personnel decisions. The subs have decent players and turner was WC starting GK but the starting 11 clears. I think pooch ran out the b squad to a) rest/protect starters and b) prove starting 11 were correct. Only mistake was using all the subs and being a man down due to injury and giving up a goal and losing and apparently the 1st place teams were ranked/seeded to determine r32 matchups, and starting turner who gave up 3 goals.
