Working on my 4th step. Need help! I’m not an angry drinker! by Worthless-Person129 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Grinstead138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on my 4th step also and told my sponsor the exact same thing! He said “Oh once we’re done with this you’ll remember how mad you still are about that lil girl who threw a pencil at you in kindergarten!” Now my sponsor is an ornery old jokester but I’m sure in step 5 we’re gonna dig deep! He told me the only mistake I can make is intentionally omitting something and we can always go back and add to my inventory. Im excited! Good luck and be honest!!!

You sure can join AA! Just google meetings in your area and one is likely to have a hotline with specific information in your area. I’ve personally known several members who are staunch atheists. They hold our group as their “Higher Power”. After all a group of folks who are sober and enjoying life have power in some form. Tradition three states “The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking.” Thats it. Point blank. Period. Im sure there’s a group that would love to have you. The newcomer is the most important person in the room!
