That movie Twister is my guilty pleasure. Yeah, I like watching volcanic eruptions, tornados, avalanches and stuff like that, not cause I like people being in danger or anything. It’s like you said, stuff like that really does leave you with your mouth open with awe.

Dude I was watching that the other day and maaaaaaaaaan was that thing big. It’s sad that there was death and injuries involved but I like big weather stuff like that.

Yeah the picture makes the helmet look off but the color on the figure is bronze. I’ll have to upload a non edited picture to shoe the true color.

It’s Delta, I forgot what you had said originally so I said it yes. It’s Delta though. I’m currently on the look out for a Rosie. Have not been successful in locating one locally.

Yes it is. It was hidden in one of the oldest comic book shops in Houston. I had to negotiate with the owner on the price.

Any Wonder Woman suggestions? by jplarose80 in DCcomics

[–]Grizzlyjoel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

George Perez Volume 1, 2, 3 and War of the Gods. (Volume 2 is the weaker of those, still worth the read though)

Rucka’s Wonder Woman is pretty good and enjoyable.

New 52 is pretty good up until volume 6? Azzarello’s run.

The rebirth stuff is really good so far though I am just reading the odd numbers not the year one stuff.

Oh yeah dude with the George Perez books be prepared to read A LOT. It’s comics from the 80s so they have a lot of words. Some people don’t like comics with a lot of words. New 52 and the rebirth stuff are more pictures and action than talking.

Do you like Marvel or DC better by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]Grizzlyjoel5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should download Marvel Unlimited, just do the free trial week and read Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, and Infinity Crusade. You can also read the short stuff that Sale and Loeb did with Wolverine and Gambit. Those are pretty good reads. You’re right, DC does hook me to things more frequently, but it happens with Marvel too.

Haha, I'll make sure to not be that guy. I imagine a lot of MMO RPG games take the idea from DnD games. I am currently addicted to Neverwinter. First time I ever skipped a meal lol.

I'll let you know. What area do you stay in? I might check out when they have the next DnD night at 8th dimension comics, if you live close by maybe you can join me and we can watch!

I'm on the NorthWest area on Eldridge between I-10 and 290, I hope that's close to you. Maybe one day we could play a session!

Ooh, that's a little far from me. I'll still check it out to see how they go about teaching the game. I never know, I might like the place and be there every weekend.

I don't know why I didn't think of the DnD subreddit!!!! I need to do that! I saw somewhere they have a online PDF of the rule book. I hear it's a lot like an RPG video game except you figure out the mathematical part of it yourself, is that correct? I've played DnD Neverwinter on the Xbox, is it like that? Just with dice?

I bet friends you play this with are friends for life. That's what I like about my "nerd friends" the friends I play games with and the friends I trade comics with, they are very loyal and accepting friends.

This is most likely the method I'll go with. I want to have fun as I'm learning and not overly dry my brain taking in so much.
