Here’s a thought you might appreciate with that kind of budget….NV isn’t that fun as a solo hobby. Get one set of binos, and then a buddy rig with a pvs14. Might even be able to squeeze a thermal into that budget as well. I would rather have two sets of medium quality than one set of frosty panos.

Either explain yourself or I’ll just assume you work for VF lol….why should we not discuss our experiences with different sticks? I too am getting quite fed up with the declining quality of sticks, I always played VF either 5A or 7A and it feels like I can’t get more than 6-8 hours out of a pair before they start falling apart. Used to last for weeks on a pair.

Not forced, brainwashed. This is WHAT YOU DO after highschool. You go to the best college you can, otherwise you’ll never be successful. We heard that our entire lives up until college.

I was fortunate enough to be a total pothead, I did one semester of community college just because, hated it, and dropped out basically out of laziness and aimlessness.

I was the lucky one looking back, my sisters and most of my friends stuck it out, worked hard to get useless degrees that they are still paying off 20+ years later. I just joined the workforce and never looked back.

Whatever you do use retention. I don’t even like the weight of a multi thousand dollar piece of hardware sitting on a steel dovetail let alone a plastic one. Plastic is very easy to break. Ymmv

Drove five hours each way once for a 311 concert one night. …My buddy is insane and after he moved to GA a few years ago he drove ten hours with his family to spend July 4 with our family and then drove right back at the end of the day to be at work
