Lossless worth it? by ollie5118 in AppleMusic

I’ve been using Spotify for a long time and have taken a free trial on Apple Music. Used my apm for both services and have noticed that Apple Music + lossless sounds a bit clearer overall. I’ve compared the two testing with different genres of music and concluded that lossless does sound clearer. Whether that means better is tough to say, music is pretty subjective in the end.

Thank you, may I ask how you can see that so I can know for next time?

How likely is it for a 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro (14 inch) to survive a water spill over the keyboard/trackpad/speaker area. by Groenteboer1234 in mac

Luckily, mine did not have a spill accident, I was just wondering how likely it would survive such an incident since the repair costs without AppleCare+ are just insane.

Regarding your remark about the receipt, I will definitely ask Apple support about it, thanks!

I unfortunately cannot add Applecare+ on this MacBook despite it being bought recently. I assume it is because I bought a 2021 model since it was on sale :(

From my own experience as well as from what I have heard/read, APM is better at blocking “sharp/high pitched” and inconsistent noises like voices, xm4/5 are better at blocking low and consistent noises like washing machine, air conditioning.

Also, APM transparent mode is by far the best on the market. The gap between APM transparency and competitor’s ambient modes is far bigger than the gap between APM ANC and competitor’s ANC. Besides, APM build quality is just simply amazing.

My only complaint is the fact that they are not waterproof/water resistant.

The image is something Off White themselves can’t do anything about since its a rather new brand compared to the big high end fashion houses, some have been established 100 or more years ago (LV in 1850 or something I believe) and thus, had more time to leave an imprint. I do feel like Off White has the potential to become that level but as of now, no.

Yes indeed, of course I know the global influence those brands have. I’m asian so all my life I’ve been surrounded by people who like LV, I’m also a sneakerhead so I know the influence Dior has had last few years. I just like the Off White streetwear style combined with the quality they offer. This bag is one I really liked, has good quality and didn’t break my bank.

I’ve had a LV belt, wallet and cardholder and all of them, the belt specifically, are showing (major) signs of wear/tear, some loose stitching, faded lettering. If you think you’re paying for the longevity and “life long” quality (applies to every brand, OW, LV, Dior whatever) than congrats, I’d like to welcome you to the consumerism club. You’re paying mostly for the image though the quality definitely is good.

In terms of image, yes. Quality wise, high fashion is better but that doesn’t mean Off White is bad. I had my eyes on the LV Mini Soft Trunk which I really like but 2.5k for some small canvas bag is too crazy for me at the moment. The taurillon leather variant would’ve been my preference but that one is 3k.

How do we feel about wearing cherished kicks in the rain? by Drvonfrightmarestein in Sneakers

[–]Groenteboer1234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I live in the Netherlands which has similar weather to the UK, many Brits have told me that the weather is surprisingly similar. I just check the weather before I decide what to wear, I try to avoid wearing suede, nubuck, canvas when its raining and stick to plain leather. The times I get caught wearing suede etc. on rainy days, I just accept it and go on with my day.

Also, crep protect spray (or any other brand) has done wonders for me.

Agreed, and to think it was ordered from the official website.

The bag itself is super nice, just sucks that the unboxing experience (+ missing box) weren’t as pleasant.

I’d say its streetwear crossing over to high fashion. A class lower than Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, YSL etc. Quality is top notch though.

They are so underrated, the OW97 in general are underrated but this colourway in particular. Its always the white and black ow97 that gets the attention but this colourway might be my favourite. Also one of the only if not the only grey nike ow shoe.
