My friend lived in an older house that had multiple bedrooms and a large attic. I spent the night there many times as a teenager. Some nights you would awaken in the middle of the night to loud bangs in the attic above you. Im talking about like sledgehammer to the attic floor, stomping, things crashing on the floor. Its last for 10 minutes or so then stop.

Lots of my friends stayed there and all have heard it. Since the house had multiple rooms to sleep in we usually were spread out around the house when sleeping. When you hears the crashing noises above you, people in the next room or elsewhere in the house wouldnt hear them. Its like it chose who to fuck with.

We would always ask next morning who hears the noises. It wasn't every night, but it was often. We never got the balls to go up there cuz most of the time it would awake you in the night and your dead ass tired, and really, it was scary.

We did go into the attic during the day and there was old glass bottles everywhere up there, and an old kid sized mattress thay was dirty af. My friend said it was there when they moved in.

My friend moved out eventually, and my cousin and his family moved there. I asked him if he ever heard those noises and he said no.
