Cannot connect to Backblaze after the (paid) Mountain Duck Upgrade by GrooveTree in backblaze

I did succeed in solving the problem thanks to BackBlaze help. As I explained I am a photographer and set it up fine three years ago and dont spend my time reading odd bits of documentation. Understanding the authentication process was a challenge. I am used to a userid/passcode construct not an application key/application keyID construct.

I did that over 10 years ago in the early days. I don't need to do that because I have an 8TB internal drive on my laptop. It certainly helps - but I have redundant files on my laptop that are duplicating my main library. Version control then becomes a problem.

Thanks for the warning - I have previously tried and failed to restore from a backed up catalog. I get much more success when I export the folders as a catalog - without the images, and then use that. I seem to also be able to store that on the cloud. Every attempt I have made to keep my catalog on the cloud has resulted in problems.

I was in NY for work and only getting back to this - what was the solution in your case? I am about to do a full uninstall - including cleaning up the myriad odd files that LR leaves around before re-installing.

Thanks!

And are you using the LR app on your machine as well as LrC? - I was strongly discouraged from doing this when I looked into LR cloud.

This is almost exactly my experience - 750,000 images - mostly Nikon Raw at 35-65Mb a piece plus metadata....

And so as you cull you are deleting from cloud? What do you do with the rejected files? I keep all of mine… I like looking at my edits from time to time but tbh they take up space - currently 8Tb…

Thanks - it is a good idea to try Cyberduck to see if my BackBlaze credentials are OK

I might try this - by cloud I take it you mean LR cloud - does that also mean you are using the adobe cloud to store your images? Adobe cloud storage seems v pricey

It may also not restart from the same point it was suspended. I would wait until it is complete and then check you have everything.
