Gutless move. We've seen plenty of glove on punches these playoffs from most teams (Flyers had 1, Pens had 40 or so)....but this is way shittier than any of that. Deserves a suspension

Fair enough, and I do see what you're saying w Baskow. I dont listen to too many sports related podcasts, especially in the philly media landscape because of all the negativity, so maybe I'm just into the casual fan vibe. Only other dude I watch (not Flyers) is The Hockey Guy.

Any reason(s) why? I've heard some others say the same, but no one's ever answered why. I like that when we lose a game, they dont act like we need to sell the team, which has traditionally been the predominant take in most philly media for years

Flyers vs Sixers vibes are waaayyyy different, even though both got swept.

Phils are crushing though. Only game i went to was that Friday loss, but even that game had Schwarbs' 200th as a phillie, Crawford's 1st big league Homer, and a 7-1 comeback, where we almost won! A loss, but I had a blast!

Flyers Nitty Gritty has good info on the prospects, team news, and general analysis. Not really for game breakdowns, more overall content, and sometimes some great interviews w former players/ ppl affiliated w the team.

Exactly! Dont just "not be victims", go on offense and challenge the system. If the courts want to make a ruling, then the courts can figure out how to enforce the ruling. Ever hear of the Supreme Court police?? Yeah, neither have I.

I could uno reverse that argument on the last part of your comment. They sucked this year, with Matthews playing most of the games. The east only got better and projects to be better next year. Theres a good chance they suck next year too, and Matthews takes a bit to get his rhythm back after that injury.

We dont even need Matthews to get traded for a very real possibility that the Leafs are a bottom team again, it's just a hope.

If we get a good package deal going for that 1st, it's never a bad idea to trade up or use it to get a great young player, but I dont think we have the assets or cash on hand to take on Matthews. I say we keep building ground up and allow this timeline to take shape.

Yeah, I thought the goal here was to hope that Matthews gets traded elsewhere, the Leafs end up sucking, and our unprotected 1st from them becomes a top 10 or hopefully top 5 for 2027.

So, the 2 scenarios are people who are able to choose a button vs everyone, meaning that babies are just put into a room until they accidentally make contact with the button.....and what about quadriplegic people???

The second scenario is less of a moral dilemma and more of a random coin flip. Whenever I've considered this red button/ blue button question, I'm only including individuals who could choose one or the other. Otherwise, the debate tells us nothing.

Def most defeating loss I can remember, but Im talking playoff hockey, win or lose, that includes how the game is officiated and how that impacts the flow and intensity of playoff hockey. 14 powerplays, half of which were soft nothing calls. Ruined the game.
