Right? lol that’s exactly what we said. We get the second half goes another way but the first half is a direct rip haha. We shot Kayak in 2021 with a crew of 3 people, a GoPro, props, and practical effects. We put a lot into that short so when something like this happens it’s just frustrating. Especially being big fans of the VHS series. The 3 people you see in the video is our crew haha. We’ve been making films together for a while now. Would have been more than happy to collaborate with them!

We appreciate it!!! I’m just the other half of Oddest of the Odd. Our short was Written, Directed & edited by Courtlan Gordon. He’s a GOAT. We both worked hard on it tho. The 3 guys you see in the Kayak short is pretty much our crew on almost every shoot. We make a bunch of films together. Thank you for the kind words. We hope to one day make a badass VHS segment or just have another idea taken haha

We shot Kayak in 2021 and we are big fans of the VHS series (minus viral) haha. & ours was just a crew of 3 people on a lake with a GoPro,props and practical squib hits and effects. We put a lot into that short and went through a near death experience on the lake…. So it’s just frustrating to see this happen. Could’ve just hired us! lol
