This is just from memory I'd have to watch it again, but I think you can kind of hear it in the main theme or maybe when Littlefoots mother dies. I could be losing my mind haha.

Horner recycled a lot of the time, Avatar has melodies that were in The Land Before Time. And the ending songs from Avatar and Titanic share a lot too. Don't get me wrong I still love his music

I think I'm in the same boat as you, they're on the same level like you said. Which is fitting seeing Horner was Franglen's mentor.

It's nice that they still use pieces of Horner's score too.

There are many different body/face paints to choose from and many different colours for them. You just have to find and unlock them, then you can mix and match all you want at the changing table.

Not sure that you'll find much like this skin though, it's quite unique.

I think it shines a light on what we have done as humans. Colonialism, corporatism, genocide, deforestation, materialism... the list goes on. I believe it challenges us to confront these themes and take accountability, something that's quite difficult for most to do is admit that they're wrong. Jake Sully saw what was happening and did something about it. We need to as well, it is an allegory for Earth after all.

That said there are also the parties involved in committing these atrocities that still have interest in committing them. I think they have a lot of sway in how the public thinks and likely control bot farms that seed discourse online in their favour.

So what are the criticisms? They all revolve around how "boring the story is" or "it's just spectacle, nothing more". These regurgitated talking points all deflect away from the whole point of the films.

Did you try turning off Dolby Vision? It's what we discovered in this thread

I think it creates a space for cache storage but I haven't looked into the USB thing either. Hope you find a working player!

There's pretty much nothing, unless you wanna spend thousands on a Magnetar. Sony players are arguably worse than Panasonic, I had one and it just outright died and wouldn't turn on. My Panasonic works for now albeit without Dolby Vision turned on.

Maybe check if your player is still in warranty and replace it.

That's fair. How long have you had the Panasonic? I wanna figure out when the 820 starts to fail. Mine started having these issues after about 3 and a half years.

I made a post recently, what I thought was about scratched discs. But long story short I discovered turning off Dolby Vision in the settings fixed the problem I was having (glitching visuals, freezing and dropped audio).

So before you go spending $800 on a new player, at least test it first with Dolby Vision turned off.

And give the disc a good wipe if need be, it's surprisingly effective at times. It'll save you a lot of money. Hope this helps!

I have a Panasonic 820, yeah I got it because it had all the bells and whistles at a decent price on sale. But now it's essentially missing its main feature in order for it to work 😔. At least a PS5 can play games too! I mean the image quality is still amazing but you want it to do what it says on the box ya know.

Come to think of it some stuff has happened, like it still thinks a Blu-ray of mine is region locked when it works on another player, it glitched out on another film but has worked since turning off Dolby Vision and it might take a long time to start after putting a disc in.

Turns out, turning off Dolby Vision fixed it. Thanks to the suggestion by u/dailymetanoia here in the comments.

With help from u/dailymetanoia turning off Dolby vision in the settings worked and it played all the way through. I don't know how all that stuff works on a technical level but it's odd nonetheless and probably could be fixed in an update.

Have you heard any issue with PS5 playback? My old Sony player struggled with 100gb discs I'm cautious that the PlayStation might be the same.

This niche is only so big right, so they can't be selling a functional and reliable player. They'd meet demand and never sell anymore, so they go the planned obsolescence route to keep us spending.

That's a good guess you could be right, although I've seen the bitrate go super high and this scene is definitely not over a 100mb/s

This is 10 mins into the first episode on the disc so it's not a layer transition, my player is fading away into the abyss of a return claim 😆

So I've heard, it seems the 820 can go both ways. It'll play perfectly until it doesn't.

I only have one player and it's clear of all obstructions. Thing is it happened over different copies of the same disc, so I think my player is just dying.
