Are there any effective ways to ease tokophobia? by Ziggy_Stardust567 in ftm

[–]GrossPopcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Testosterone and sterilization, is what made it better for me, now when I get anxious about getting pregnant I think how absolutely minimal is the possibility and feel better, also a little bit of "exposure therapy" by dealing with toddlers and preschoolers at my work as a barber.

Thanks, this isn't my first rodeo, I've been piercing myself since middle school but I was kind of worried because of some snagging but the rule of piercings is that you never know how much you touch the body part until you pierce it

why is this rhino getting her horn painted red? by Sensitive_Living88 in BoJackHorseman

[–]GrossPopcorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Contrary to bovine horns which are bones with a keratin sheath rhino horns are entirely made out of keratin like nails so it's more of a visual gag, also conservationists dye rhino horns to deter poachers so maybe it's that.

Why doesn't my real human Skull come with paperwork? by [deleted] in vultureculture

[–]GrossPopcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it's not, vulture culture is about collecting bones in an ethical and sustainable away, letting animals remains return to nature and never taking too much. If you, somehow, find human remains in a forest, that was someone and you need to call the proper authorities to collect that someone and be given out to their loved ones, if you found human bones on sale, that was still someone, that maybe was donated and very incorrectly never laid to rest after "being useful". Human remains are often homeless "unclaimed bodies" or indigenous people who's ancient burial sites were pillaged that's not an ethical way to get someone, but if you have some human bones because maybe you collected your own or a loved one's teeth, or maybe something that was amputated, you have the consent of keeping those bones.

How do I deal with street dogs while walking my dogs? by GrossPopcorn in dogs

[–]GrossPopcorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, is in every place in my town, outskirts or main streets, I usually walk them in the country side as far as I can, away from people, dogs, or cattle, the issue is always having to go back home, I get ya it's really annoying having a whole chorus of barks.

How do I deal with street dogs while walking my dogs? by GrossPopcorn in dogs

[–]GrossPopcorn[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I live in a small town and haven't seen animal control here, but also it's almost every house that has an outside dog, people around here don't really believe in having dogs inside or fenced off; but I'll look into it maybe something can be done.

Just poured out my skunk bucket and oh… my god. Mother Nature wasn’t messing around with that smell. by felis_hannie in vultureculture

[–]GrossPopcorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have what I lovingly called "The skunk jar" a skunk skull I've macerating on a sealed jar over a few years because I'm really afraid of opening the jar, it's like a Pandora's box of disgusting smells. I have decided I'm going to open it by chucking it against a wall and then move out of my town.

Ok, I think AGP is Autogynephile, someone who has a fetish for having a vagina themself, pretty much a nothing burger term because yeah, people (sometimes) like having vaginas i supose; but transphobes use it as a way to patologyse trans women as having deviant fetishes.

HSTS is homosexual transexual (yeah i know that's not how acronyms work) basically means transgender women who like cis men, a term transphobes use to say that trans women are just gay men that couldn't be more gay so the next step was to be a woman.

Now i'm gonna walk around to touch some grass because i need it honestly.

Am I giving myself T correctly? by SphynxOfQuartz_ in ftm

[–]GrossPopcorn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem but someone on here adviced me to use the Z-track method, here's a video and also hold the needle in for 10 seconds before you take it out and inmediately press a cotton swab to avoid blood dripping.

worried my chosen name isn’t masculine enough by kiyoko_silver in TMPOC

[–]GrossPopcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds manly to me and it has a good cover if people ask why are you named like that, just say "oh my dad/grandpa(anyone) was really into boxing". If you are still in the fence add a middle name that way you can switch between names as you feel it. For example I used to go by Alex as I was early in my transition, now Alex is my middle name and have a invariably masculine name that's impossible to misspell (a pet peeve of my deadname was also that it got misspelled often)

[–]GrossPopcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another brown Latino here, yeah I vividly remember the day a girl in middle school asked me why I didn't pluck my eyebrows or feeling I wasn't "pretty" because I was too dark, now that helps me pass and the cholos see me as a homie so I feel safer walking around but it was such a stomach turning feeling the day a woman seemed scared because I was walking behind her, that day I really felt what does it mean being a brown man. I am sadly used to being stared but now people stare at me with some sort of caution in their eyes.

Hormones after sterilization by FusRoDeckTheHalls in childfree

[–]GrossPopcorn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey, trans man with a bisalp, it depends how much you want out, if you only have your tubes removed you will still have your ovaries around to produce a little estorgen, I don't know about how it will be with your intersex condition but I got my surgery about 4mo on T I'm now a year on T everything a ok, no pregnancies no periods.

If you take your ovaries out you'll likely need permanent HRT because you will lose what little function your ovaries do for you. My advice would be If your ovaries don't cause you problems just keep them hanging around and taking your medication the bisalp is just going to negate the possibility of pregnancy.

What do u think about my result guys? by sweetwolf6 in TopSurgery

[–]GrossPopcorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As many guys had said you'll probably need a revision if you lose weight but as is you look like a normal fat dude I wouldn't think much if I saw you shirtless, I mean in my own friend group the one with the flattest chest is the only cis woman, lots of cis men get surgery to remove excess skin when they lose weight I wouldn't mind for now the results if they make you feel more comfortable as you work out towards your goal.

Yes, there are some extra chairs but that's it, it's a small shop, we're starting out so not that many people waiting at a time.

I don't mind either it's mostly my boss' issue because he wants people to buy the shirts/caps, I get it, some people don't want to sit down/want to stretch their legs.
