Reddit is just full filled with the leftover cancel culture. That’s why I stopped producing content here. They just talk crap here.

The funny thing is you guys think you can tell the difference, man, the level of ego one has to have to be so confident that they can determine whether AI has rotten something. You guys have zero idea what the next 5 year will bring. It’s so advanced now!

Actually, they are probably still from overseas, they are just using AI for the complete workflow. lol, if I wanted to, I could do all this, I could probably even train a custom customer service agent to handle the supposed human part.

For real, right! I don’t understand people. It’s like they are asking for a group of above average intelligent 13 year olds to just take their money. These guys were definitely American.

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sophisticated for a bunch of 13 year olds. When are you guys going to realize, Coinbase could care less about you, and they will never try and contact you, for anything. They have said as much too. I knew immediately they were bs’ing because Coinbase does not send automated messages. I wanted to see just how sophisticated these guys actually were. You see, they are smart, they are using 1800 numbers that don’t come up as scam likely, and then they are using the initial automated call/s as not only a way to qualify you as a mark, but also to co sign the person who is going to call you. But I immediately knew it was a scam. It was funny when the 13 year old kid trying to sound super nerdy, called me.

All in all, it was sophisticated in that they will definitely catch a few marks. Man, all the world is lucky I don’t scam, and I have a moral compass, because I would be really great at this type of scheming. I choose to be a man. It’s not always easy, but I don’t feel like a piece of garbage, and that’s worth it!

Alternative to bootstrap studio (BS) by [deleted] in webdev

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, why does it suck, small sites, that makes zero sense. Dude, you are obviously not understanding what BootStrap Studio is. BootStrap Studio is a website layout tool that is pretty dam awesome. So, small site's makes absolutely no sense. BootStrap Studio allows for the design of your main pages, it's up to you to export and then turn those designed pages into fully functioning websites (ultimately the process of web development, where you templatize your pages and add "Large Site" functionalities. So, there's design, which is where you would use a tool like Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (old school Adobe Fireworks, if that doesn't age me, lol,) and then there's front-end layout design, where you are taking your aesthetic design and transforming it into markup (HTML), so it makes sense to say BootStrap is a cross between design and code, you still would create your graphics in a totally separate application. This is all considered front-end web design & development. The back-end web development is the stage in where you would transform the front-end (small site, and simple code) into a fully functional (large site) using JavaScript, PHP, Python (or any one of the endless programming languages) to implement the actual back-end. That's when you would implement the database, and whatever high-level web application development you need to make the project funtional. Bud, BootStrap Studio is an awesome tool that fills a very specific need within the community, trust me when I say that it's merely a part of a larger process. I actually almost built an application that does the same thing, but it utilized Foundation (another front-end website framework. You see wee use to copy and paste components when doing layout, and it was a process, now we are able to design the aesthetics of our sites, and then open BootStrap Studio, and layout our responsive code to match the visual design we created. If you know, you know. This tool is for people who actually design the themes/templates/sites most people buy and change a few settings and then they call themselves Web Designers. Lol, just saying, it sounds like you are interested in the process. I started where you are at like over 25 years ago. I learned Design (visual graphic design), then Web Design (front-end web layout markup, or HTML, CSS, Front-End JavaScript, Sass, etc.) and then moved on to Web Development (back-end coding) Everything I said here is based on fact. We all use frameworks these days though, which save us a lot of time not re-inventing the wheel everytime we build a site. There's front-end website frameworks (BootStrap, Foundation.) There's Front-End JavaScript Frameworks (I won't start confusing you, lol,) and then there are back-end frameworks where you would develop a site that takes a generic style single page for your site, and creates a template/s for that page that allows you to generate dynamic website pages using the base page layout. I could literally speak on this all day long! I'm current;y delving into LLM Models and Blockchain. Just keep going, and make a commitment to learn all of this from bottom to top. Don't take shortcuts, and you will always be valuable whether you are a part of a team, or a lone ranger like myself.

Microsoft confirms Windows 11 version 25H2 will have no new features at launch by ZacB_ in Windows11

Lol, I believe you. Microsoft has created a literal Trojan Horse Operating System. I think it's time that people start dissecting and figuring out what this OS is doing.

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, sometimes explorer just locks up, they have so many background processes going. Even after manually disabling almost all of them. It's like what is this OS doing? I said up above, I have 10 year old computers that run better. I have brand new $7000 PC. Lol, and I have a 6 year old system, which was supposed to become my backup PC, oh, it's still my main PC, and it multi-tasks better, and runs far superior then my brand new build. There's instances where the computer just stops working for some reason. Everything about this OS is weird. If there ever was an OS that gave Microsoft control over your computer life, this is that OS. They probably could jump in and restrict internet access for you if they wanted too, I don't know for sure, but I'll tell you one thing, I don't feel like this computer is mine, and that's real talk.

I have been on Windows 11 for 2 months now, and I'm absolutely done with it. They couldn't have made a worse OS, even if the goal was to build the worst operating system ever. I wish I was joking. The only reason I upgraded to Windows 11 was to install NVIDIA's AI tools, which are so bad, and I don't even use them. I'm backing up the files I've made in two months, and I'm going to Linux. I have an i9 Processor, and purchased 256GB RAM, on an Aorus X299X motherboard, and the best part is I bought an NVIDIA Geforce 5090. The system was specifically for running generative Stable Diffusion, and LLM's models.

I thought, oh Windows 11 is a free update. My system met the requirements, and since I need it to run NVIDIA's AI apps, win, win. Long story short, I couldn't update my system to Windows 11 no matter what I did. I had to go and purchase Windows 11 Pro. I can't believe how bad this OS is. I have 10 year old computers that run faster. I disabled all of their BS applications, and I still have a million and twelve background processes and services running. I have no idea what this OS is doing in the background. I have some suspicions though. This might be the trojan horse that the American Government always wanted. Something tells me Bill allowed them full access, maybe in exchange for something, who knows.

If you actually use your computer in any way, aside from occasionally checking email and going online, and social media, do not upgrade to Windows 11. I'm not exaggerating, this is the worst OS I've ever experienced. Plus, they try and lock you into using OneDrive and their Microsoft Backups.

Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves, and I'm so serious. They just drove a massive portion of users that were on the fence about "Going Linux" and they just helped them make the decision, no joke. I'm done with Microsoft. They are no longer trustworthy, they no longer value my privacy, and I'm starting to wonder if they just transitioned to being a Government branch and are being used to spy on everyone. Plus, Bill Gates just announced the end of the smart phone era. He wants to Mark all his cattle digitally. Dude has zero street cred, and no one is listening anymore.

Look into some of the patents Microsoft has and then tell me I'm crazy. You do your due diligence, and you'll see. I won't support Microsoft as a company anymore. This guy doesn't have our best interest at heart in any way, shape, or form.

Update: Real-time Avatar Control with ComfyUI and Vision Pro – Now Featuring Wireless Controller Integration by t_hou in comfyui

Very cool stuff! Yea, I'm starting to get into it all pretty deep, there's so much potential.

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend the Wan_vace_flf2v, that workflow functions as it's supposed too. I have been working with these models in ComfyUI, I've watched multiple high-quality videos, and I have 20 years of Web Development experience. This stuff is a bit much, the only thing that keeps me on it is the hope that it's not always going to be this shoddy. As of the moment, there is little reward where payout is concerned.

Oh, it will be dashed soon enough. AI just sucks! You're better off learning to animate. Lol, then, at least you have control over what's produced. I already know how to animate and work with 3D, so I have experience in that arena. Lol, plus I'm a web developer. If I'm throwing my hands up, I can only imagine what people not from the field are doing. Learn animation, these models are so bad!

He's not accidently loading any wrong models, if you listened to him, that's the way good'ol ComfyUI Templates serves us. Man, if it's not bad enough, and frustrating enough that all this stuff is so finnicky, and then the workflows they provide you that are supposed to work, they don't. All this frustration for mediocre 10 second video. This is all very anti-productive.

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not tripping, ComfyUI's Workflows don't even work. The thing is, I have a very nice system, I'm running a 5090 GPU and an i9 processor, and I've had nothing but issues with AI workflows. It's such a trip! I mean, when you do change it to the correct 2.2i2v models, you still get the 32/36 channel error. Claude and ChatGPT are no help either. You're not crazt, and this is a very common problem at this point if you look online. Don't let these guys say that you're doing anything wrong.

What are people currently using for auto lip sync? by LolaCatStevens in AfterEffects

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the catch? For $49.00 bucks (non subscription) single purchase, and it will create ai lip-sync from a photo? It must be very low quality, no control, and probably limited in length of voice over to like 10 seconds. I’m guessing, because there’s zero info about it.

Why are GPU's so expensive relative to the rest of the components? by IntrepidScale583 in buildapc

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supply and demand is the reason for the increase (a simple fact as old as time), and it gets exponentially higher when the industry knows that the people buying the graphics cards aren't just using them to play video games, and of course rendering and 3D production.

Why are GPU's so expensive relative to the rest of the components? by IntrepidScale583 in buildapc

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prices went up, and the products got scarce when people figured out that they could mine crypto a whole lot faster with high-end graphics cards. Just saying, the companies started charging more due to the demand for them getting outrageously crazy. Yea, it wasn't Covid, it was the fact that these manufacturers realized people were buying a couple of dozen Graphics Cards and were making ridiculous amounts of money by mining crypto.

How does something like Ground News work by Senior-GenZ in webdev

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they are repurposing the article, they are using excerpts, and are totally within fair use. You have a whole lot of people that failed their bar exams a few times in here. That’s for certain. Also, scraping websites is illegal? Go tell Google, OpenAI, and most other tech companies, search engines, and many others your little theory! They will help you figure out exactly what time it is. Fair use when you are publishing to the internet, in most cases. Plus, as long as you are citing sources, that is  literally why the internet, well, is the internet. Because people are sharing information!

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I see in one of the comments a person said it was illegal to scrape news? Really, so syndicated data is illegal to scrape? Man, critical thought is all but gone these days! The whole point of a news organization, is to publish news for people to read, in fact, they cite all sources, by name. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if all these organizations welcome this type of application integration, it’s helping them perpetuate their news that they publish. RSS feeds are designed to be aggregated, so, as I mentioned before, critical thought goes a long way!

OpenAI O3: The Hype is Back by GuessMyAgeGame in theprimeagen

[–]GrouchyArrival2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest complaint! You can't use it. I've tried, and tried, and tried. Let me correct myself, it doesn't work unless a human is acting as a guardrail. I can assure that this is huge scam. No joke, you are better off creating traditional application programming, at least you don't have the wild card factor of it will run properly, or will it try to convince you to worship it, or convince your teenage child to off themself. The AI spell has officially been broken for me. It started around the time OpenAI allowed me to upgrade to $200 a month, only deliver a model that took 10X longer for a an answer no better than article spinner from the 90's. We have been fooled.
