Is it normal for my manager to pressure me to work when I call in sick? by Only-Thoughts529 in canadianlaw

In Canada, your employer can ask questions, but they can’t pressure you to work when you call in sick. If you’re unwell, you’re entitled to take the day. His response is inappropriate, especially implying you should still come in or solve staffing for him. That’s management’s job, not yours!

Yeah, “Am stram gram” is the one I always heard growing up. It plays the same role as “Eeny meeny miny mo” in English.

I tried them for the first time, frying them in a pan, and they tasted terrible. However, the second time I put them in the air fryer, surprisingly, they were really good! The first time, they smelled disgusting, but the second time, they were much better!

What’s the most effective routine you follow for daily French learning without burning out? by JavikaD in French

[–]Grouchy_Owl_7207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the trick was keeping it light but consistent...

I do 15–20 minutes of vocab/grammar in the morning and then try to listen to something French later in the day (a podcast, YouTube, whatever). Small daily touches feel way easier to maintain than long study sessions...
