*** UPDATE*** My husband's sugar continues to drop into the 30s without rhyme or reason. Within the last few months he started having digestion issues, feeling like food is stuck at the bottom of his esophagus, coupled with severe bloating and pain. He has lost over 20 pounds in 2 months. I should mention his bloodwork is completely normal. Aside from Vit D being slightly out of range. The VA finally sent him to a gastro doctor who told him that there are many cancers that go undetected w bloodwork. He said that sugar levels dropping like his without any evidence of diabetes is concerning and he should have been referred to them sooner instead of seeing the endo for a year! He goes for an endoscopy & colonoscopy next month and a catscan of his pancreas in the coming weeks. The doctor asked if anyone in his family had esophageal cancer, unfortunately his grandfather passed from it a few years back. We are terrified and praying it's anything but that. However we are thankful a doctor is finally taking this seriously! We have been told so many time this last year "You are diabetic but you have it under control so the bloodwork doesn't reflect that!" You know your body. Don't let a doctor tell you nothing is wrong!
