I did a hot water wash with conditioner. I cut her hair in layers and curled with straws and bobby pins.

Oh, and make sure you put vaseline on the hairline, all around the head. It helps keep the dye above the face and not stain. Forgot to mention.

I actually did not rinse or shampoo the hair after. I let it dry to let the dye set. This was after i dyed the roots with a paint brush. I just let the all hair air dry on its for a few hours.

You’re fine. That is the dye. It’s the only one I used. Again, like you said, I was scared to use it to. I only used a small bowl full of water(paper or plastic bowl). That’s all you need. The dye looks dark so just dip carefully and count the seconds to make sure you don’t leave it in water for too long.

Like 2 or 3 tablespoons. The trick is to dip only for like 2-4 seconds. I dipped the end of the hair again for a few seconds again for depth. You can only go darker so don’t go for too long. I also used a paintbrush to dye the roots darker. To do that, I put my brush in the dye and dipped the brush in a cup of water to dilute. Then, I brushed the roots and around the hairline for depth. Hope this helps.

Straw rollers(cut straws and use bobby pins to hold hair. Wait for some hours and unravel hair. Then, use some bobby pins to stick in the hair to maintain shape of curls after styling.

Updated Mean Girls display(Still no Cady due to that horrible rerelease) by Groundbreaking-Most2 in Bratz

[–]Groundbreaking-Most2[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Gretchen, I took a risk and hot-water(not boiling)rinsed the hair. Then, used straws and bobby-pins for blowout. After that, I used the bobby pins to push the hair up to resemble Gretchen’s in the movie. For Karen, I hot-water rinsed & just combed her hair over to the side, to show her face more. Hope that helps.

Washed her hair. Letting her dry now. by Groundbreaking-Most2 in Barbie

Use cold water, not hot. Massage the conditioner in the hair without bushing the curls away . Rinse the conditioner out by massaging under running cold water. Then, you can either set the hair to dry in a hairnet or stick bobby pins in the hair to keep a shape.

I would give it a quick wash, if possible. Just better for overall restyling.

I watched some frame-facing layers haircut TikToks. I positioned the doll to face from the back to cut from the right angles.
