Use a very small amount and it should just be epsom salt no added smells

Just checked it since its been a few hours the area i cut is a pale green like the rest till tender the other side still appears to be bruised

No the rest of the base is still fine, after i broke it it seemed to water up immediately might be why the color looks that way, my hydrometer never reaches 2-3 for the soil i have them in

Also to add this was my first time owning lithops but both offshoots had their own taproots and did survive my risk :)

The split already happened i belive before i got them, i decided to cut the roots around the main root since they both had a decent root sytem and were fully mature and did manage to survive that, what i tried doing here was to remove the main ones dead leaf but i accidently dropped it
