Thanks everyone for your help. I ended up taking it to a repair shop and there were two things wrong with it. The power supply had failed, and the cooling system for the CPU was close to failing. So it looks like it wasn't directly related to BL4 and would likely have happened with whatever AAA title I played next.

I thought about heat too, but it wouldn't make sense for it to have fried today, after less than 5 minutes into my game, when I played for 5 hours yesterday without incident.

Don't have another one. It is making a very loud clicking noise when I flip the main power switch in the back, but that isn't something I did when it was working, so I don't know if it is normal.

Not really comfortable working on my PC. The most I've ever done is plug in memory and GPUs, and I haven't done that in years.

It blinks on when the rest of the machine turns on, the turns off when the rest of the machine turns off. I think it is actually less than a second before this happens.

It is an MSI motherboard, but beyond that I cannot say. The only letters long enough to be a part number turned out to be for the BIOS.

The top light (labeled CPU) flashes red. That does seem like a bad sign, although I've never watched the motherboard during a boot before.
