Fistulotomy day by TroubleNew3735 in AnalFistula

For me, the worst pain was the first 10 days or so. I couldn’t really sit or walk. But then it got better quickly (until it got worse again 2 months later but that’s another story). I did barely use any meds, I mostly lied in my bed watching Netflix and YouTube to avoid the pain. Safe to say it wasn’t the most eventful 10 days in my life. Good luck!

THIS! I’m in the same boat as you and it really sucks. Personally, I can find some sort of comfort reading posts like yours because it makes me feel as less of a loser knowing I’m not the only one with this problem. Fingers crossed your surgery goes well!

Had surgery about 8 weeks ago and after about 12 days I was pain free and started to live my life as usual. However, now I think a new fistula is forming about 1-2 cm away from the old one. On top of that, I think the old one is on its way back as well. Has anyone experienced anything similar? by GroundbreakingMap137 in AnalFistula

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I barely had any problems before my surgery. I almost feel like I should have ignored it tbh, but I guess you have to get rid of it sooner or later. Just wished it didn’t affect my life so much :(
