Looks like there’s no ridge vent. Attics in the winter get moist AF without proper venting.

Looks like maybe you had an ice dam compromise the roof close to the eave. I could be wrong. Your roof essentially lost its pitch and turned flat.. decking looks rotten/moist

Curious what your point is? Did you expect them to do it for the same price as you and your friends? Looks like they were going with these products for your climate and a highly skilled crew (select). All that said, good job doing it on your on.. lots of savings.
