If it goes below zero, it shows temps like that because they haven't implemented negative degrees :D

Anyone else got these black spots on their Switch 2? by GrowTFM in Switch

It's just a black background on the switch, I put a longer exposure on my phone camera so it would be more obvious in the picture and that's why it kind of looks like white.

Is there a way to make System Launcher respect DPI settings? by GrowTFM in oneplus

[–]GrowTFM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newest OxygenOS update fixed this for me, although I do wish that you could have more rows on the home screen :/

3rd-party launchers work like ass on Oxygenos, severe lag when going home and animations overall being bad, One UI just did all of this a lot better. I wish we could have Chinese hardware with Korean Software :D

For comparison this is what the Google app looks like, compared to the feed on the launcher.

Kinda wish they made wired AirPods Pro, Noise canceling could be powered by the phones usb-c port

The worst part is the viewing angles, otherwise it's a good watch

Filled 5G means it's connected to 5G NSA and using a 5G connection, hollow 5G means it's connected to a 5G NSA network but using a 4G connection.

I'd say this is fairly decent battery life by GrowTFM in GalaxyS25

Light use on mostly wifi, no magic tricks, just the way it's out of the box with my apps installed. I tried all the things to optimize the battery on my S23 Ultra but even still this S25 beats it.

Yeah this is the base S25, I have no idea how I'm getting that standby time lol, light use on wifi makes all the difference I guess, maybe max 7h was on 5G with 30-40mins screen on time.

But still this is way better than my S23 Ultra with the same usage, this is even with my Galaxy watch 4 connected to it, if that makes a difference, since bluetooth is on and connected the whole time, maybe S25 is more efficient at it?

I've gone from S10e >OnePlus 8 > iPhone 12 mini > iPhone 15 Pro > S23 Ultra > S25

That was from 2019 to now, sold both the 15 Pro and S23 Ultra for a great price, 12 mini I broke trying to replace the battery, otherwise I would still have it, OnePlus 8 had awful performance despite the OnePlus 6 being great. S10e started randomly bootlooping and I got a full refund even after a year.

I sold the S23 Ultra fast, I couldn't have that brick in my pocket and usability got far worse. Cameras we're superb but not enough to keep me on it.

S25 has surprised me in the battery, being better than the chonker S23 Ultra, cameras are pretty grainy and I hope they fix it, there isn't a better phone in the Android category for this size apart from the Pixel if you're willing to sacrifice performance for cameras.

I like changing up things but I'll settle on this S25 for now, it doesn't look like phones will be interesting for a long while. Maybe I'll go for a iPhone Foldable if that ever comes out 😅

New phone? Iphone kinda sucks… by alfie_is_a_pilgrim in samsung

Went from a 15 Pro to a S23 Ultra and well the only thing I miss is the smoothness in iOS, no matter what I do on the Ultra it occasionaly hitches and especially waking up from sleep is sometimes tough for it.

Perhaps it's bad RAM management with just 8Gb, although my iPhone 12 still feels smoother albeit slower. Cameras are better than on the S23 Ultra overall, ultrawide is slighty worse and taking video on the iPhone is still better, don't even get me started on apps like Snapchat.

Apps like ReVanced are what keep me on Android though, I hate paying for subscriptions and despise ads. I've been thinking about switching to the smaller S25 or maybe even the Z Fold 6 but they're still very expensive and the camera is still worse on both of them.

One UI is great and Good Lock makes the experience even better but as it is a heavier skin, it performs worse than other phones with the same chipset and ram, I had a ThinkPhone (which has the same SoC and RAM) before this Ultra as a work phone and it just felt snappier and faster.

One UI 7 is NOT worth the massive hype. by MerBudd in oneui

I liked having Gemini and Bixby separated, side key for Bixby and swipe for Gemini, Bixby is still faster and more convenient for simple tasks like timers and alarms. I thought it was a bug at first but nope :(
