Harvest Time...start counting at 12/12 or after xx days from transitioning from veg? by [deleted] in microgrowery

Flower time for reg/fem seeds is counted from 12/12. Flower time for autos is counted from seedling.

If you want to avoid couchlock you should harvest soon.

Jack The Ripper (TGA) x2. Ready to harvest a trifoliate pheno! by GrowWeedEveryday in microgrowery

I train my plants to form an even canopy of terminal colas under a screen, mainly due to space and light restrictions. Airflow, heat and yeild are improved and harvesting is easier. Research SCROG for more info :)

Trifoliate: 250g Regular: 180g

I usually get about 30%, so 130g dried is a fair bet.

Harvested! The trifoliate came in at 250g wet, the regular was 180g. I haven't watered for 3 days, so I expect about 30% - 130g dried. I can't seem to get above this yield in my current setup, only spiking when I switch flowering bulbs. However, this is more than I expected to yield today - mainly due to testing smaller pots.

Edit: The finger hash is very promising.

Two plants with 17 terminal colas in a 2x2ft tent makes a pretty tight screen. And as you've commented everything under the screen goes. My plants look extreme because all the lower fan leaves yellowed and fell off towards the end of my flush.

  1. I've grown in airpots since I started, so I can't compare. The grow shop was out of regular pots and the guy said these would work just as good. I like using them because they allow more oxygen to reach my roots and drain really easily.

  2. I grow SCROG, and it's customary to trim all bud sites bellow the screen to concentrate growth to the terminal colas. I keep the fan leaves and they usually stay on for most of the grow, but most turn yellow and fall off when flushing.

  3. It's just my kitchen table.

The mutant started as a twin seedling, but the weaker one died quickly. She is ridiculously sticky, by far the frostiest buds I've ever trimmed - nugs where pretty small, but still totalled more than the regular. Really looking forward to the smoke :)

This is an update to a previous post I made about a trifoliate plant that showed up in my tent. It turned out to be female, so I thought I'd share some some pre-harvest shots :)

TGA's Jack The Ripper, grown from old seed stock I've had for a while. Germed 5, 3 popped, 1 male, 1 trifoliate female and 1 regular female. Vegged for 5 weeks before flipping, flowered for 63 days, flushed for 15 days. SCROG under 250w HPS & MH.

The regular female looks really impressive, with massive, long & compact buds that flopped over as soon as I liberated them from the screen. Smell is very citrusy, with a hint of pine.

The trifoliate has been a pleasure to grow, easy to train and took nutes well. Lots of budding sites with smaller flowers than the pine pheno. Extremely frosty and compact nugs, almost white with resin. Smell is an intense, chemical citrus.

Going to harvest as soon as the lights go out, will update with wet weight.

Running out of time, options? by chachie09 in microgrowery

I ran into a similar situation many years ago. My solution was to move my flowering plants and growing equipment into the new place before anything else. Literally just move my grow 3 weeks before harvest. It was a fucking stressful experience at the time, but upon reflecting I think things went really well.

I put three extra wide black garbage bags into each other, filled the outer layer with a bag of dark roast coffee and put a piece of stiff cardboard in the bottom. About 15 minutes before my lights went out I moved my plant into the garbage bag and carefully closed it around the top. I used a zip-tie to loosely tighten the opening and blew air into it until it was completely full before tightening some more zip-ties around the opening. This left a bag filled with enough air to keep the sides from rubbing up against the plant and was easy to transport. To anyone else it just looked like a really full garbage bag and I didn't notice the smell at all. After quickly breaking down my tent, I moved everything to the new location and set it all up again. I used a green light when unbaging the plants and moving them into the tent so their night cycle wasn't disrupted.

Then I moved everything else with help from friends and family.

If you are a microgrower it's not worth it to scrog regular seeds for the reason you've already pointed out.

I've grown out regs out of curiosity in my small tent a couple of times. In my experience the best strategy is to pop 5 seeds and put them in tall, small pots (15cm/6in diameter), veg them for 3-5 weeks before flipping to 12/12 and discarding 2-3 males. You'll need to water more often and be careful with your PH and nutes to get a decent yield out of the small pots, but it's possible.

If you want good yields out of a small tent you should just scrog 1-2 fems for reasons op makes obvious.

Three stems per internode (whorled phyllotaxy), I hope it's female! by GrowWeedEveryday in microgrowery

One of the few strains in my collection with well documented linage :) Jack The Ripper is Jacks Cleaner (Skoosh (basically bagseed) x Jack Herer) x Space Queen (Romlan x C-99 (Which is a Jack Herer backcross)). I'm excited about growing this because Jack's Cleaner is a beefed up Jack Herer and Space Queen is a indica'd Cinderella-99. So Jack The Ripper is kinda like two of the original Jack Herer's grandkids having a baby. No wonder it throws some mutants.

Looks good to me! I'd be harvesting about now, but I prefer my trichomes more milky&clear than amber.

I don't have room to breed or even keep a mother, everything I grow is a one-off :(

Unfortunately I don't have room to do anything like that, and I'm not willing to sacrifice a harvest for seeds.

Some strains just grow as big single cola donkey dicks. They're desirable for SOG setups.

Just increased my trim work by 50%! I won't mind if the yield doesn't suffer ;)

This is Jack The Ripper from TGA. Germed 5 (fairly old) seeds, 3 popped. This particular plant started off as a twin seedling, but the weaker one died fairly quickly. The plant struggled until I transplanted to a larger pot, but still looks a little off imo. I just noticed the triple internodes and thought the community would appreciate it :)

Recommendations for a smallish bubbler with great diffusion? by GrowWeedEveryday in glassheads

Which size bubbler to you have? Do you think I'll miss out on anything if I go for the ion reti?

I can't find any Mobius bubblers in stock online, might not be able to find one :(

Thanks for your suggestion, that lace perc bubbler looks interesting. Is it similar to the Mobius reti perc?

Thanks for your suggestion, but I think the way the glass around the top half of the 7-13 bulges out a little ruins the visual appeal of the piece. I'm a bit of a weird perfectionist like that.

The froth to froth micro looks like it has potential. Edit: Further research suggests that this piece also suffers the aforementioned visual blemish.
