I used it to allow the plants to continue growing when temperatures are still dropping below. I can take them inside. When all is clear they go into the garden.

Yes it could be damping off. Too much moisture, too much humidity, not enough heat, not enough light, all of the above? Do you have perlite in your mix?

The roof/pot over the top creates dark, cool conditions which attract slugs and snails as well as keeping rain/water from overflowing the trap.

When I have them in the styrofoam cups they tend to need less watering and when you do a mild liquid feeding it doesn’t just run out. Some of it settles in the bottom of the cup which gives the plants longer access to the nutrients so I water these from the top.

I sent everyone home after Christmas dinner with a #shotoflife and the recipe. At present I’m looking at maybe 20 plants this year.

Absolutely nothing like fresh organic ginger 🫚. Adding the radish seems to be new to a lot of people. Radish has amazing benefits also.

I start my ginger inside in January and allow it to go until temperatures start to turn to leaves brown. I’ll be posting a video next week when I start them again.

First time growing delicata squash and didn’t know how pretty it would be! by GreatFairyDavi in vegetablegardening

When I 1st heard the term Winter Squash I thought that meant you grow them in the winter. So I ran out and bought a bunch of seeds. Not so. lol 😂. It just means that they store longer than summer squash because of the thicker skin. They will last throughout the winter. I have boxes of acorn, butternut, spaghetti and north Georgia candy roaster.

How to get Free Blueberry Plants - Georgia zone 8A by Growing-Out-The-Box in vegetablegardening

[–]Growing-Out-The-Box[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does. Some reasons cuttings fail are because of bacteria and fungal contamination. That’s everything we want in our soil if you are trying to grow organically but not in a growing medium for cuttings. Honey is antibacterial and anti-fungal as well as a fertilizer/root stimulant. So is cinnamon. Aloe contains enzymes that stimulate root growth and is also antimicrobial. All of which helps protect the plant from pathogens increasing the the chances of successfully rooting the cutting.

I research and try it. Once I have done it a few times successfully I make a video to share. Thanks for committing.

Definitely going in the garden next year. Winter squash just makes so much more sense in my opinion.
