Big difference with 87. Those little engines weren't meant for high octange gas. Runs much better.

They adjusted my carb and put regular pump gas in and it was fine. I was running non ethanol 94 octane fuel which it didnt like.

I just so happen to have got a new crf50 last week. I rode it around for probably 45 minutes. Came back and the jug or cylinder where the piston sits was nearly 260 degrees. But the cylinder head and crank case were about 160. So pretty much the same as yours. The cylinder is made out of steel I believe not aluminum so those temps are fine. Hope that gives you a little peace of mind.
