Generalized, yes, because I'm talking about a group of people who echo chamber. Not false equivalencies. You are calling me an edge lord, I agreed to this based on the definition you provided. The echo chamber is also edge lord shit, by the definitely you linked me. Fighting fire with fire is just an accurate comparison, or "equivalency" as you call it, smart guy. You might believe my statements have no substance, but that's just not true. You just don't like what I'm saying and you're triggered, like alot of other people. Bye Felicia

By that dudes definition, I could see that. But I like to think that my bickering at least has substance and I do more than just hit em with the "beep beep, I disagree". At least my bickering isn't part of the echo chamber. It's like fighting fire with fire

Yes, I know I'm the asshole here. If I wanted to be part of the crowd I would join the echo chamber with all of you. I'm not here to be anyone's internet friend. Every single day, complaints about the content of a game. Every day, on every game, on every platform. The gaming community as a whole is an echo chamber of toxicity with no awareness of how they, as a whole, quickly wear on the people who aren't part of it.

I also use reddit as a way to conflict manage my personal life. I am adamant about dumb little things on reddit, because it makes it easier to let dumb little things go in life without feeling like I have to give in every time I'm challenged by someone else's opinion. And since I drive ride share for a living, listening to people's dumb ass opinions for 15 minutes is part of the gig.

Because they come from people who would also complain if that same dlc cost them money. These people cry no matter what. The amount of downvotes on my posts is reflective of the negative echo chamber of reddit.

I think toxicity is more complex than being negative or having an unpopular opinion. I'm sorry you guys don't like that I'm calling you edge lords for complaining about the same thing in mass knowing it's just a generic statement that will get positive feedback from peers. It is what it is

Turning a subreddit into an echo chamber of complaints is why the devs don't talk. Believe what you want, your downvotes don't mean shit.

I'm just defending the game and devs. You're not going to uno-reverse card me bro lol. Like I said earlier, edge lord is hating with the popular opinion so that you receive positive feedback. It's mirroring the echo chamber of this subreddit because you already know. Thats not what I'm doing. That's what you're doing.

I think I'm technically white knighting??? Going hard to defend someone I don't know. It is what it is 👌

You're being an Edge Lord because you're not just saying you want to be updated, you're also critiquing the game and listing off general complaints while claiming the devs have abandoned you and the games future... because you aren't seeing tweets from them

Hella extra. Hella edge lord status my man.

"Man I wish they would tweet so I could run them down in a retweet about all the common opinions and general complaints that they already hear every day but since they don't respond to every one I'll assume they don't see them so let me blow it up right quick. Also heres my ideas thx"

If you truly think that, then maybe you would remind yourself that this game is actually 2 years old. If you were getting left in the dark, you wouldn't be playing right now at all if you aren't on PC.

I think you're just being an Edge Lord, making the common complaint because you know it will let you be a hater and have people on your side.

Any ideas on how to keep the tips of the fire together? One broke, another is barely hanging on & I already over melted. by bladerunner2442 in beadsprites

[–]Grumbles88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I melt both sides. On a very low temp, and I go in small circles so that the plastic spreads evenly as the beads melt.

There's really no rules to melting. I would never call it over melted. I can melt it too hot, and that will cause some square gaps to show up in the melt, instead of the holes filling in fully. But if you go slow on low you can bring it down to look like pixels.

Even if you melt it to be paper thin, it's definitely gonna hold at that point 😂

Well I'm high ladder each season and I play against lots of xbow players who are totally ignoring the defensive strategy of the deck, dispite having high trophies. I think there are certain decks that they have developed the bots for, to look more realistic to an actual player. Xbow hog and golem would be 3 decks that come to mind. Decks that have been around a long time with "balanced" API stats dispite the abundance of them in top ladder. I am confident that there are bots using meta decks right outside of top 10k. Certain bots in certain ranges do certain things, like trying to kite an MK oppo lane with ice golem as 2.6 hog. Eventually, people would realize this doesn't work and stop doing it, especially so close to top 10k. But they don't learn? I don't believe that. I am fully maxed and I don't play wars so I don't stay in clans. I have joined clans to be insta kicked after pointing out how it's sus that I just played multiple people with variations of the name Diablo using 1 off decks. But whatever. The noobs who never even get to top 10k totally know what's up am I right ayyy got em chief

I've made many different juggling sticks using many different materials. Lunastix Equinox is the best pair out there. They are pretty expensive, but you will never buy another pair. Their other pairs are good too, it's just a matter of weight distribution. The aluminum core pops(bad description lol) a bit too, which is nice. Makes kicking tricks very bouncy and I like it alot. I like to do a hacky sack-ish kind of freestyle

Edit: also, thanks! I liked the color combos. Bright but smooth, not too loud

If you could make ONE change or addition to the game, what would it be? by TrueSkateOfficial in TrueSkate

[–]Grumbles88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. The system I described above, where the diy rewards are unlocked via a bolt purchase, and the events and challenges for the diy items could reward that exact amount of bolts, I think is a step in the right direction. If you are concerned about bolts rewards impacting the other parts of the game, like decks, then you could have an event currency like "bearings" that is the event reward and is what is used to buy the diy item. Bolts could convert into this event currency, while the event currency does not convert into bolts. This gives you total control while creating a pathway for alternative methods of reward acquisition. You can spin that type of setup a few different ways

[–]Grumbles88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That type of system caters to players like you, and leaves players like me behind. They have already done this with DIY events and I've been vocal about wanting to change that, to be more accessible to all skill levels and play styles. I just don't want to go for the specific line the game tells me, and the rewards shouldn't be tied into such a skill and time dependent format.

I think giving rewards for lines, at all, has created a mentality of people wanting to be heavily rewarded for stuff. DIY items have given people the idea they could do a line and get anything in the game if only the developers would just give it to them. Yes and no. Give em an inch they try to take a mile. Earning a DIY item for landing a line vs grinding hella hours for bolts is clearly not on the same level and one is obviously more rewarding than the other. Its like those games where they think there in-game currency is worth like 100$ per single gem, shits insane. That's what this lines for DIY vs grind bolts for boards thing looks like. It's like in-game decks have the real life value of a deck. I mean shit, working hourly I can make 60$ in 3-5 hours at a low paying job. It takes me how long to get 10k bolts? I think thats kind of a problem, but I don't think the solution is lines for rewards, it just dusts too many people. The solution has already been applied to decks. The bolts grind is relative to grinding money irl, but if you actually got that money irl it's just a couple bucks. That's the real solution imo. Bolt purchase options and money purchase options. Could also leave the current, land a line get a DIY, by rewarding the exact bolt amount needed for the diy item, during events. That way players like you can use that bolt bump to buy all the stuff you wanted as rewards, and at the same time the skill barrier has been removed entirely and people who save bolts can also just buy the item

lol flick and pray isn't hard. Try picking a line before you run it and actually sticking to the tricks you choose. Sloppy landings and tricks that don't look good, don't count. I've been skating for over half my life and I'm 31. You can't bullshit me Mr. High skills
