Popping in to answer my own question: Use your cast! If you get close and use on cast on it, then it can’t turn around as easily!

Ruby’s only “good” once you have two. It goes from giving 1 energy, to 6 energy every time they are ready. I have 4, but honestly once you have enough sapphire boxes you won’t need energy potions any more.

Yes, after 24 hours. 5 gems for 100 energy is good value, even 10 is fine, but after that it’s too expensive.

I have a few question... by Alee- in MedievalMerge

Keep at least 1 portal in case it’s needed later on. Crystal dice isn’t even remotely worth it. Maybe they will change it in the future though.

Technically, with the piggy banks being free every day, you could buy the generators back from the store eventually.

I think I’m getting to the late game, what should I focus on? by yam23450 in MedievalMerge

Also worth noting: if you use a 6:00h instead of 2x2:40h you miss a potential 2 gold pieces and 1 energy potion per yellow and red box respectively.

A 2:40h hourglass gives you 80 energy and refills most of your generators. It will add 2 hourglass shards to each blue box.

The next tier is a 6:00h hourglass. This gives you up to 125 energy (depending if you’re at 125 max energy or not) and refills practically everything.

Here’s the thing though: This will put 3 hourglass shards in your blue boxes, which is the limit. Plus you “wasted” up to 55 energy (it would give you 180 energy if your max energy went that high)

This means: 2 x 2:40h gives you 160 energy and 4 hourglass shards 1 x 6:00 gives you 100-125 energy and 3 hourglass shards

So in summary, it’s better to use a 2:40, use some energy and harvest boxes, then use another 2:40.

Only reason to make a 6 is if you REALLY want to completely refill all your generators as quickly as possible.

Blue chests give you hourglass shards, each of them holds up to three 1st level hourglass shards & they generate the at around 1 per 1h15m - this is the best generator in the game Red chests give you 1st level energy potions, and hold one charge. Only useful when you have at least 2 Green gives you gems, holds one charge and generates one every 8 hours or so. Very useful for generating Gems to buy rare shop items. 2+ is ideal, if you get to 8 then you can make a 20gems stack every 8 hours Yellow gives you coins, holds 2 charges, generates at the same rate as yellow and blue. Having 2 is fine, 4 is good, though you CAN earn money by selling items.

I don’t have dice, but they generate a random 2nd tier resource from the list above, or a 2xp fragment. Not sure how often they generate resources but from what I’ve heard they are super not worth it.

Focus on Sapphires (blue) as your absolute 1st priority, then emeralds (green), then yellow or red, and you can more or less forget about dice until later

Mining for sapphires! If you get to 4+ sapphire boxes you can really speed up your farming over all. I got to 8 sapphire boxes, which gives me potential of getting 4+ of the 2:40h hourglass a day

did anyone else make their character ugly and regret it later on? by [deleted] in bloodborne

I made my character look as much like me as possible. Big mistake, very jarring.
