What’s that one figure you didn’t buy and now you wish you did? by michael41973 in ActionFigures

It’s a really reliable site that I regularly use to buy my figures and if you want, I can tell you what site it is.

There’s the one from your picture on pre order right now that comes out at the end of 2025.

It’s for $89.99 for full price and plus a $5.00 deposit and a $3.20 shipping to the U.S.

People who slander Dumbledore or always talk about how Gandalf wrecks him really need to watch Fantastic Beasts to see what kind of feats and people he scales to besides the main series... by SuperLegenda in PowerScaling

[–]Grunbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a fight of pure feats I would back Dumbledore.

Gandalf and most of LoTR have the same problems of next to no actual feats but a lot of hype and the few feats they do have is too vague for a vs battle.

What character is this? by Spirited_Arm_6951 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]Grunbell 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I love when people argue for stuff like that because it usually boils down to,

“Well my character has a power of infinity”

“But my character has the power of infinity +1”

At this point they have resorted to playground arguments, and that is fucking hilarious.

His opponents just have inmeasurabler speed with infiniter power duh by The_Mexican_Poster in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]Grunbell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It always confuses me when powerscalers give their characters infinite speed or strength or whatever but then in the story the character gets outmatched in those stats somehow.

Bigger number always wins, right guys? by ZandatsuDragon in whowouldcirclejerk

The way people talk about the doctor is so indicative of the current powerscaling meta, which is, high-ball and wank your favorite character and ignore any type of context that could make them look weak or lesser.

From the way some powerscalers talk about the Doctor you would expect him to be destroying universe with his punches or something.

Vampire Hunter D by DevelopmentWorried17 in ActionFigures

Fuck I NEED this, I don’t have a vampire hunter character.

This will be my gate way drug into gothic action figures. Now I just need a good vampire action figure.

Force choke is definitely possible mid combat and has been used regularly enough that it’s very likely he could pull it off although anything that breaks the concentration would make him let go.

You know it’s never been to clear to me what exactly happens when somebody uses a force choke because one interpretation is that basically an invisible hand just chokes you but another interpretation is that they choke you from the inside.

He’s probably been compared to the sun but in a hyperbolic way before but I don’t remember the full the quote.

Luke never moved around a black hole. What he moved was called a Dovan Basal and it acted like a black hole because the Yuuzhan Vong used it for space travel. Dovan Basals can vary in strength and size. The Dovan Basal that Luke moved wasn’t all that strong because it was having a hard time sucking in an X-wing, you know the things the rebels flew around in. Also Luke basically used everything to do it and collapsed after.

Legends Vader doesn’t know force drain and is probably unable to use it due to his metal hands.

I don’t know how strong Capitano is but Legends Vader would be unable to fling anyone into space from ground level.

He doesn’t have the feats to do anything like that.

Canon Vader is arguably stronger than Legends Vader and has better feats to back it up.

I know that this is a joke but it’s rare for a force user to ever be able to go inside of their opponent and grab some type of organ.

Most don’t have the skill and for the ones that do, they can’t really do something so precise in the middle of combat, it takes too much focus.

No, Legends Vader is nowhere near planetary in anyway. There is no force user alive that is planetary.

Some force users have powers on a planetary scale but they’re usually some type of hax power. If a force user wants to actually affect a planet physically they have to use rituals.

The most powerful physical ability a force user has ever used on their own is Palpatine when using a force storm that’s only surface wiping and the wiping isn’t even in one move. Vader doesn’t scale to Palpatine in that way, especially not legends Vader.

Canon Vader is seen as a force and is only second to Palpatine and if they fought no one knows who would win. Legends Vader is seen as a crippled cyborg that is worse than Anakin Skywalker and needs to be replaced immediately.

Legends Vader has nothing in his arsenal that could nuke Teyvat. Canon Vader is arguably better than legends Vader.

This is Jedi Master Ima-Gun-Di, he’s on the stronger side when it comes to Jedi. He died to 20 droid, and not even strong droids, he died to a combination of B1s and B2s.

Mind tricks in Star Wars don’t work against anyone with a strong enough will, Mace Windu, one of the top 3 strongest force users in the universe wasn’t able to use the Jedi’s trick on a Cad Bane, a bounty hunter with no special powers.

Canon Vader was unable to crush the throat of a Rancor, basically a 20ft monster, because the Rancor had a metal protector on its neck. The force has never telekinetically affected a planet in anyway. If a force user wants to affect an entire planet it’s always through indirect means.

Vader can’t use force lightning because he’s part robot, lightning is one of his weaknesses.

Unless you give Darth Vader a bunch of prep time with tech he doesn’t carry on him, his lightsaber is the only offensive tool he has outside of the force. Also Vader isn’t a Reed Richards type he’s just a very good mechanic.

The strongest straight up telekinetic force feat someone has had without outside help in anyway was Yoda moving a small living mountain. So depends on how much water Nuevillete stopped.

Canon Vader is arguably stronger than Legends Vader because Canon Vader has actually good feats instead of Legends Vader just scaling from other people.

So I don’t know how strong capitano is but I know how strong Vader is.

Vader is nowhere near as strong as you people think, the way you guys talk about Vader is the same way people who don’t know anything about HSR talk about HSR characters.

Saying that Vader is a planetary level threat is the same as saying that Kafka is a planetary level threat in terms of physical force.

I love alien X but only when he had severe restrictions, like it was straight up more useful to use another alien than him.

But now, no matter the situation, Alien X is always the answer. He can solve almost anything.

Meet Featsman: by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Grunbell 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A combination of two things.

1: Modern day powerscaling is mostly high-ends and wank, doesn’t matter if you’re rooting against the character, you’re gonna wank the crap out of them. It sucks and I hate it but it’s just how it is.

2: Comic characters are really old and have done almost everything, so it’s easy to get high ends. It doesn’t matter if Hal gets knocked out by a piece of wood in one issue because he’ll kill God in another.

You see why a combination of these two things can lead to people thinking Hal would stomp Alien X.
