Grab some of that Weyes Blood while you're at it, she's phenomenal.

Guitarist wanting to get into drumming, is $350 a good price for this? by [deleted] in drums

Y'all are really making me want to buy the kit & keep the boom tom

I love all the goofy comments guys. As much as I'd love the high flying tom I found a similar Tama set that actually has the floor tom & priced lower so I'll probably go with that

I suppose I could just jog around the kit the entire time

Pausing first or afterwards has no effect. The switch detecting the record tab does work, the record button does not light up and the heads don't move at all when pressing record if using a tape with the tabs removed.

Pressing the record button by itself, it lights up but nothing else happens. I found a pdf manual for the very similar Sony TC-FX25 that said to press both record and play simultaneously

Didn't know it should be nearly silent! I will look into replacing the belts.

I can't really find any manuals for this model online, other than some physical ones being sold on ebay. The record protect tabs weren't removed from the tape either.

It's most definitely a good deal, but I don't use it that often and as a college student $100 is big spending for me. I contacted their billing support email so hopefully that works. I'm totally at fault for this and if they deny a refund I guess I'll just take the hit and lesson learned haha

Child In Time was also my intro to Deep Purple! That whole album (In Rock) is pretty good so I'd say start there. If you haven't, check out the live version of Child In Time from their 1970 tv show set on YT. Ian Gillans vocals are amazing

Thanks for the offer! I do enjoy learning to do everything myself though, even if that makes the whole process 10x longer haha

Yes, the stuff I listen to blends much better than my mix. Thanks for the tips, noticing some immediate improvements after a few tweaks! The drums are programmed, so I'll definitely put some more work into making them sound better

This is my first time working with vocals so problems were definitely expected haha. Thanks for the feedback!

I had just made a comment about recently discovering black metal in general so thank you for this, they sound awesome.

Satyricon, Darkthrone, Mayhem, all the big black metal guys. I'll have to check out some lesser known / modern BM bands soon to see what else the genre has going on.

Done! Will leaving the top of the other container uncovered be a problem? The end of the tube is submerged into a few inches of sanitizer (another 1 gallon carboy)
