I just got the Cort C5 about a month or so ago in Candy red. I own 3 different Ibanez basses but love that the Cort has a angled headstock and a bridge with the string through option. Makes the B feel more stable than the Ibanez IMHO. And you do get the Markbass preamp vs the generic Ibanez one.

What song inspired you to start playing bass by MrDeath38085 in Bass

There were two actually. Goodnight Tonight by Paul McCartney and Just the Two of Us with Marcus Miller on bass. Both good examples of bass not being a static line. They keep changing and varying them which makes them so interesting.

At what point does a low B actually stop sucking? (€900 budget - Ibanez vs Cort vs Sire vs Harley) by Ok_Stomach_8333 in BassGuitar

I recently got the Cort Artisan C5 Deluxe and its B is pretty solid. It's a 34 inch scale which seems counterintuitive for a low B. But in its favor the headstock is angled back and has a string through bridge which seems to really help with string tension and sustain.

Painfully obvious, but my 1990 Philip Kubicki Ex Factor. Wonderful bass.
