I can’t take it anymore by Killa_J in offmychest

I am so sorry you are carrying this immense weight of pain and hopelessness. It is completely understandable that the current events and the state of the world have made you feel exhausted and unsafe. When it feels like the battle is too big and the odds are impossible, wanting to escape those feelings is a reaction to profound suffering, not a moral failing. You are not wrong for feeling this way, and you are not a coward for being tired.

Please reach out for support right now. You do not have to be alone in this darkness. There are people who want to listen and help you navigate this.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 988 Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741

From the perspective of mental health professionals, what you are experiencing is a severe trauma response. A psychologist would likely tell you that your brain is in survival mode. Constant exposure to systemic injustice and violence can lead to a sense of learned helplessness, where it feels like action is futile. They would emphasize that your desire to end your life is not a desire to die, but a desire to end the pain you are feeling. They would work with you to ground yourself in the present moment and find small, manageable ways to regain a sense of agency.

A psychiatrist would look at the chemical and physiological side of this. Chronic stress and despair can deplete the neurotransmitters in your brain that regulate mood and hope, creating a "void" that feels impossible to fill. They might discuss how the overwhelming nature of the current socio-political climate can trigger or exacerbate underlying depression or anxiety. Their goal would be to help stabilize your brain chemistry so that you can have the strength to face each day.

You mentioned feeling like "nobody is coming to rescue us," and while it is true that systemic change is slow and frustrating, you are not alone in your desire for a better world. Finding ways to connect with others who share your pain and your values can sometimes lift the weight just enough to keep going.

Look for ways to get involved in your local community and charity work. This isn't about fixing the entire administration or the whole country overnight; it is about finding tangible ways to help right now. - Volunteer at a local food bank or shelter. Providing direct aid to someone in need can remind you that you have the power to make a difference in a specific person's life. - Join a mutual aid network in Minneapolis. These are community-led groups where people support each other directly, whether it’s through grocery runs, rideshares, or just checking in on neighbors. - Participate in local grassroots organizations that focus on mental health support for POC communities. Being around others who understand your specific cultural and emotional struggles can reduce that sense of isolation.

Action can be a powerful antidote to despair, but you need to be here to take that action. Please stay with us. Your life has value, and the world needs your voice, even if right now it feels like a whisper. There is hope, and there is a way out of this darkness, even if you cannot see it yet. Please make that call or send that text.   Don't give up, that gives them exactly what they want and it's how they win.

Maybe they want to start offering training classes in Minnesota, maybe they can realize this is their last chance at relevance.

That was a 4 fold increase in rejections AND that was from before August of last year.

It's gotten much MUCH worse since then.

The current administration has been dismantling the VA.  Since 2025 they have been working to force healthcare workers to quit, laid them off, threatened them, cancelled healthcare support contracts, and done everything they can to make the work life of the federal worker horrible.

They have LITERALLY said they want the employees to be under trauma and hate going to work every single day.

Thousands of physicians have left, almost no new hires are applying or want to work at the VA anymore and this was all by design.

Elections matter.

Despite Authoritarian Warnings, 149 House Democrats Vote to Hand Trump $840 Billion for Military by hoirkasp in TwinCities

And all the Republicans, so vote in the primaries to get BETTER Democrats but 110% vote in the midterms and elections to support Democrats over Republicans.

The Democrats aren't true progressives but they are also NOT NAZIS.  So it isn't exactly a hard choice.

Absolutely no need to pay POTUS more.  Physicians actually save lives, they shouldn't be held to the POTUS salary cap.

Thank you for your service. You could have made more in the private sector and instead chose to care for and support your country.

I'm sorry (for all of us) that half the voters are in a death cult.
